Good video, I agree with your point. In fact several weeks ago after watching this hilarious compilation of clips from the remake ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itmLkH322Ro ) I read up on the original. The plot seemed so similar to me that I went into OpAphid chat trying to get some people ...

The link doesn't work for me. :? But I did watch your 5 year plan video. The world is better off not having another Carrie Bradshaw wannabe.

If you decode the DNA sequence that I found in the previous puzzle in the 3' ---> 5' direction (rather than 5'--->3'), then reverse the protein sequence, the first five amino acids spell out "SMILE" when decoded with "11228."

Smile, you worked hard to get here.

Maybe this is a reference to ...

i'm fighting revver right now...

they say the music is under copyright law...
but the american gov't list of public domain songs says it isn't...

dumb dumbs.

Copyright is actually a bundle of different rights. The song itself (think notes on paper) probably is in the public domain. This allows ...

To me, the Walter email makes me think that we were on the right track in the other thread

Perhaps the text in the circled stamp is the passphrase, and the DNA sequence . . . is the text to be decoded?

When you do this, decode the dna sequence with the stamp letters you get ...

I like the style of this. Where you leave the Dostoevsky quote makes it seem like its ants 1, humans 0. The next line sees some redemption for humankind:

And who knows (there is no saying with certainty), perhaps the only goal on earth to which mankind is striving lies in this incessant process of ...

TO FIND IT YOU WILL HAVE TO SHIFT YOUR PERSPECTIVE ON THE SEQUENCE THAT GOT YOU HERE
It seems to me that the idea ist o take the DNA sequence that was decoded and then use that as a new coded message in a vigenere cipher (which is just a bunch of shifts http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vigen%C3%A8re ...

Just wanted to state the obvious: if this is a traditional xy hex puzzle --> the password will be seven letters long.

Next Steps:
Find Walter's true identity.
WalterDW tells us in his telegram ( http://tinyurl.com/33R59P )
that our next step is to uncover his true identity. In order to do this, he says we will have to "shift our perspective on the sequence that got us here". Most likely, the DNA sequence TOSG ...

I thikn the basic idea is to use the amino acids to form a word or phrase like in the last code. You can see how that worked here http://www.lonelygirl15.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5918&start=0 . In that one we had only useful RNA with numbers signifying letters. Here we have extra DNA and this list ...

I actually tend to think that the important part isn't the repeating unit, but rather what TravelerJ inserted into the middle (flanked by BamHI cut sites).

If this is right, then you have: GGATCCTTTTTATTCTTCGACTCAGGATC. BamHI cuts GGATC after the first G (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Restriction ...

This seems very unlikely given the ARG plot.
