Ah, I see what your saying. Although I fail to undertand how a brainwashing cult is any less salatious.

Really? Why? I guess I don't understand what is driving interest in the story if not the mystery of a power consipracy. That and some of the character driven aspects of the story.

What do you mean "they wouldn't go there."? I mean, afterall, they are villifying the Order. The Order is the "bad guys" and you can't get much worse than covert racist agendas.

True, Yousef, the ACTOR, is Arab, but his character is not decernably. There are no references to Daniel having any kind ...

The Order racist? Neo-Nazi?

In the early 1980 there was a neo-Nazi group in the Northwest called "The Order" and they wanted to enact the Turner Diaries. They were big believers in racial purity. If am not mistaken, so far all the Order members have been white. (not that there has been a non-white presence in Lonelygirl15 so ...

Watchers not part of the Order

So back in the day I wondered if the Watchers were actually part of the Order or if they were just assuming that. Now that there is this new vid and we know about Gemma being an Order member I have to wonder about them again. Afterall, Gemma tried to scare Bree into running from the Watchers ...

the hole in recent character development

How come there hasn't been a Jonas vid on what he has discovered? I mean, really, don't you think that discovering his parents' disapearence was not so innocent afterall would illicit some emotion? Don't you think him finding out about their being Anti-Order would reopen the wound and that he would ...

I agree. I think it is a made up deal that kind of mirrors aspects of other organizations. The whole conspiracy thing reminds me of Scientology in ways.

Look, Daniel is a horney teenage guy. He thinks lots of women are hot and since he is not taken he is free to comment publicly about it without feeling any guilt.

You can't keep an oraganization THAT big a secret. Not really. Research is done by all kinds of academics on the Masons, Scientology, etc. It can be difficult to get the info but over time you can put bits and pieces together by following historical paper trails, talking with ex-devotee's. Getting ...

I think it is plausable that his parents didn't tell him anything. If you were involved in something dangerous it would be best to keep your child out of it. You might teach them to be catious (not trust strangers, etc.) but to keep your kids ignorant is best. Kids are not good at keeping secrets ...

A bit contrived, but understandable

Ok, so the whole thing about Jonas' family being anti-Order seems a bit contrived, although I do like it better than him being WITH the Order, because that would have been overdoing it. However, it would have been best for him to be unfiliated in any way and just an ordinary guy. That said, I can ...
