Agreed on the recent "defunctual" --> "ineffectual" consensus

Looking at ____ Reference Points, at first I thought "Bay Society" but there's too much space. It looks like the first letter of that line could also be an "F" if not a "P"

I got a chuckle out of this line

But Daniel thinks he's got this great sense of direction, which he doesn't. I mean, he literally took us around in circles, to the same ridge, three or four times.

Technically it's still a fermata, even facing that direction. This is the way fermatas are drawn when placed below notes rather than above. For example, on the bass part of a vocal piece, or on the left hand of a piano score.

Of course, it is more commonly seen above notes, in its "right-side-up ...
