Cool thanks I'm grasping more now. I never really got what scene kids were before.

So the dress style of scene kids and emos is similar, but emos purposely play up on the image of self-harm, depression and suicide. I think that's the difference right?

The emo music genre is becoming a different ...

I concur with BK. That's my concept of emo too. There is, atm, "scene" which is a melding of 70's glam style and stage spectacles ala Queen and Bowie, with emo and goth.

The set of pics earlier have emo/scene bands but not really the style. The stage clothes of Panic and MCR are over the top and ...

Yea that's interesting... is emo closer to that in the states??

I have a sense that it's more black and dark style in New Zealand where I'm from, or maybe it's just me.

I think the bottom line with emo is that no one can agree on what it is

That's the more traditional "emo" style of ...

You know, its funny how as we grow older and finding out new stereotypes. "Emo???" Every time I hear that word for some reason I think "Elmo" I don't know why lol. Anyways, I never really compared to Emo and Goth, their simular but not the same.

I think someone posted the video link to 'tickle me ...

Ahhahahhaha! watching_watchers your avatar honestly has to be the most emo one around here! I mean the angle, the make up, the fringe, your black top, and is that a doll? You look nice, although I'm afraid that's emo :)

Hehe don't kill yourself over realizing your truly emo...

Oh god ...

LG15 is getting annoying how more questions pop up and less are answered, exactly like Lost. But I think the fear of Lost fans is that it might one day be canceled by the network. Then there'll never be a true ending with the answers.

I know someone who was a fan of The Pretender. I think they ...

Alright no one gets what emo is, and it's probably ten times harder to get from reading about it.

Umm I got bored lol. So I decided to find some pictures of emo fashion from bands. There's probably better examples of kids on myspace . But the famous people are the ones who will likely ...

Hehe no one can agree on the definition for emo. The best way I know how to describe it is somewhere between goth and punk.

Check out these that try to define it:

For a TV example think Peter ...

Yay I'm in!

She's incredibly hot... in an edgy, unsafe, randomly outgoing, promiscuous sort of way. Plus she seems borderline emo. That describes my dream girl lol...

Count me in as a part of a Sarah fan club!!! :P

Sylvia Plath is loved by emos. lol. I haven't read anything from her but I know people who do (yes I'm kind of emo :?). Sylvia Plath was depressed and committed suicide didn't she?

Sarah do you actually consider yourself emo..?

I've started watching LG15 again :D !!! I was behind for a few months, but now I'm back! Gah it's going to take ages to get in the loop with what's happening again lol.

Anyway, on topic...

First of all, emo is incredibly hard to define... The best way to sum it up is somewhere between punk and ...
