Sorry that this is veering off topic, but my sister called me emo yesterday. The condescending inflection in her voice led me to believe it wasn't a compliment...cup o' noodles wrote:I hate when people claim that emo is a type of person.ohhhmyyygoddd wrote:god i cant stand emo lol

No, emo (as a person) is like a taste-less goth. That cries a lot....and slits their wrists. Not because they're depressed, because they think they are.Flautapantera wrote:Sorry that this is veering off topic, but my sister called me emo yesterday. But, emo is not really a type of person. It's a type of music. Whiney music.

Ya, it's really annoying. I often get called emo because I love both bands, and I happen to wear black a lot. I'm not emo, I just like black.
My boyfriend makes me feel better though. He says that when I wear black and white, I look like a cute little panda bear.

Hmm, "whiney" has a pretty bad connotation, especially when it comes to music. I happen to enjoy some so-called emo music.cup o' noodles wrote:But, emo is not really a type of person. It's a type of music. Whiney music.

Ithe emo song!
"My life is just a black abyss, you know, it's so dark. And it's suffocating me. Grabbing ahold of me and tightening its grip, tighter than a pair of my little sister's jeans... which look great on me by the way."
Heehee.
