if he's brother, it's because there was an attempt on his life and he barely gave OpAPHID the slip.

yeah, that's true that he showed up for the test. i'll give you that. however, how many times has he gone that far? or at all besides this? desperate times call for desperate measures

Jonas is not Brother. Unless I am told personally to disregard everything I saw in Petaluma, I cannot believe this theory.

Well, like Ganesha said, he did leave his house to meet with Bree and Daniel for The Test.

Just because someone is under house arrest, it doesn't mean that that person can't try to leave the house. It's just against thier parole. In other words, if he were under house arrest he broke his parole by leaving his "designated area" to meet withBree and Daniel...

Though, I have known people who were on house arrest that were allowed to go to work or school, but that was it. Once work or school was over they were to return home.

i'm saying the one u met wasn't Brother after all. maybe Brother was intended to be that person, but then Jonas came into existance and the Creators decided to make Jonas multi-task, making the "Brother" you saw a friend who masqueraded as Brother to protect the real Brother.

i mean, being out in public with Tachies with sensitive information? too risky.

I'm sorry, I'm just not buying it. A "friend" masquerading as Brother who just happens to have same voice. It just doesn't add up for me.

i'm trying to stay in character; the person who created OPAPHID had in mind for this person to be Brother. The Creators take the idea. This guy keeps a fraction of his intended role by sorta being Brother's front man.

I totally get what you are saying.

Although there does seem to be a greater attempt at collaboration than I think any of us anticipated. Hardly a vid gets posted without a reference from one side to the other.

Anyway, here’s my real question. If you had not inadvertently run into “Brother” at the drop (assuming it was inadvertent) is it possible that Jonas would have been revealed as Brother later in the series? Hmmm…

We may never know.

I guess nothing is impossible....however, I still don't think this was the plan from the begining. Just my opinion though.

Since we're on the subject anyways... what proofs DO we have that Tach is female? Do we have anything concrete at all?

And lacking proofs... what can we list that make us assume that Tach is female?

I'll start with the obvious...
- a female voice in the videos
- being referenced to as "sister"
- ???

This might sound nutty, but has anyone considered it possible that Jonas IS Tachyon?

I like that idea, but I'm pretty sure Tachy is female. Well, at least we know the following (from the email archive thread):

-Tachy is not into girls, but apparently made out with one when drunk at some point
-Tachy prefers blondes
-Tachy wants to know, as do "many other women", how to remove blood stains from pants
-Tachy told seagol, "bathroom stalls can be both the best and worst thing to ever happen to a girl. just ask jenny."
-Tachy told Nikki Bower, "a girl adapts to her surroundings as neccessary, but I'll be saving some of those tips for my own survival skills book!"
-Tachy told sphinx that Jonas was "kinda hot"
-Tachy told Ziola, "i guess you can use my middle name. it's mathilda."
-Tachy told mintgurl, "but seriously, what kind of chick do you take me for? "
-Tachy has an ex named Peter

And, Tachy is a big baseball fan, and I'm pretty sure we haven't seen anything baseball related with Jonas. So, Tachy is either a straight female or a gay male. Jonas is into weight lifting and boxing. And while I'm not one to buy into stereotypes, I don't know too many gay men who are into boxing.

I do like the idea that Jonas = Brother, though. Yes, Brother spoke with Luv at the drop, but wasn't it generally acknowledged to be a mistake of sorts? Remember, the guy playing Jonas is an actor...and somtimes actors change. In a pinch, could this guy who appered as Brother just have been taking on the role of Brother in a pinch? After all, luv and her brother needed to be distracted long enough to place the drop, but not let them leave empty handed. It was a good way of "killing two birds" if you will.

At any rate, there DO seem to be a lot of weird parallels between Tachy and Jonas.

Actually...they might, especially for intellctual property reasons. Fan spinoffs are one thing, but still subject to copyrights. I can totally see the Creators saying, "look, we won't sue you for using our series for your game, and we'll adopt you into the story...but you have to implement a few things as we see fit for creative control."

Yup, I can totally see that happening.
