Just feeling kinda down... Found out a little while ago that my best friend had proposed to his gf. You'd think that I'd be more happy... I am happy for them, but it also made me realize that I'm the only one out of all my old friends, that isn't married (or getting married), and is alone...

I don't think these two will break up or separate...

They've been together for almost six years. He'd been planning to propose to her for the longest, and he finally got the courage to ask her, tonight.

Still... at least you still have your bf. I don't have anyone.

That was actually my own response to it. It does sound pretty pathetic, though.

nah, it's very reasonable.

i'm just lucky that i found the love of my life. if i would have chosen to stay home on the particular day that i met him instead of going over to my friend's house.. i would have never ever met him, he would have moved back to california, and we would have never seen each other. ever.

before i did meet him though, i was always depressed alllll the timeeeeeee because i didn't have anyone and everyone around me did.

it was always espicially painful at family gatherings, everyone else had a special someone to bring along or a husband or something.. and i was just lil ole me all by my lonesome.

but seriously. it's reasonable. i guarantee you'll find someone someday though.

I don't have much of a family anymore, and those I do have left.. well you already know... So the holidays are actually kinda sad for me... with no one in my life and most of the family that I know about rejecting me...

I kinda go through several stages of sadness and anger through the holiday season...

Heh... I'm kinda reminded of a line another one of my friends always says... "... and that's how I grew up crazy!"

Kinda fits, huh?

Oh, geez....nothing against them, but there is nothing worse than being hit on by guys who think they are God's gift. Them in their Lacoste shirts, collars up, high-fiving eachother when they think you aren't looking. *flashes back to college*

So true.....NEVER play the victim. A lot of women are attracted to the stability of a "secure" man.....fake it if you have to until it's real.

Yeah, it was really bad when I lived in Austin and went to UT. It's not as bad where I am now. I guess I just don't understand why they're hitting on me. I mean, I'm pretty much the opposite of what "society" finds attractive (aka: goth. heh).

THAT is exactly why they hit on you.....forbidden fruit. I was "that girl" in college. I miss it sometimes. The girls stare at you in horror and detest, the guys (if they're with those girls) stare at you only out of the corner of their eyes, and the frat boys just try to get in your pants but don't want the good girls to know about it since they have to marry one of them someday.
