This is my suggestion: if you (by you I mean mods, admins...whoever is in charge) are going to censor our language, then censor ALL language. BK, in a PM, sort of explained this to me and gave examples of things that would pass and things that wouldn't...but I've seen certain words used in similar ways by different posters and some are censored and some aren't.

That's not cool.

I'm fine with not swearing, but it seems like pretty much all of my naughty language, if I don't censor it myself, is censored for me right away and I'm not understanding why everyone else's language isn't treated the same way.
I tried to let this subject go...but I've been noticing it repeatedly and it's grating on my last nerve.

I agree, this is a family orientated forum. Can we at least have a bad word filter and replace them with some ****?

I don't know if I'm paranoid or something, but my word earlier was "*"ed as soon as my comment was posted. Do I somehow already have a filter but other people don't?

I am not sure, I have seen a few profanity words come through on my screen...Interesting.

ummm I'm not sure exactly how extremely profain your language is, but based on the videos lately overly using the word "shit" and now a hint of voilence is involved, I think there shouldn't be a censor at all. And if there going to censor words like "shit" (which im not even sure if they will censor that) then they shouldn't be speaking that kind of language in the videos.

and they should probably censor my avatar while there at it. lol

Definitely a good point. While being a PG-13 forum is all good and well, it does need to match the videos. >.>

the problem i have is the videos are getting more mature and more intended for n older udience. I Mean daniel swore like four times in 'THe Unthinkable Happened" someone got shot and we heard a lovely story about Jonas wearing his left sock

WE can't be expected to keep it pg13 any long with this going on in the videos.

There is a filter the Admins have put in place that filters out certain words and changes them to *'s. Only a handful of words are filtered, though.

I personally haven't changed any of your posts, spacie. I have thought you've been fine at keeping things appropriate.

When I think of PG-13, I think swearing to some extent is allowed. Someone saying "This video is fucking great!" or "Holy shit, that's amazing!" shouldn't offend anyone at a PG-13 movie. There are words that go beyond that, however, and there are times when swear words can be used in an inappropriate way (ie we don't want people swearing at each other).

We're trying to keep things friendly and appropriate without being heavy handed. Please forgive our growing pains... and always feel free to PM us with examples of things you feel are inappropriate (in case we miss it) or if you feel the mods have changed something they shouldn't! Thanks!
