Adopted or Abducted?
Given the recent video, do you think that Bree's "parents" adopted her, or as suggested, they abducted her?
Bree says that her "father" was going through some sort of mid life crisis, and we are assuming that he just found out that she wasn't really his daughter either. If Bree's "mom" arranged this whole thing, it is possible that she "stole" or adopted Bree way before her "mom" and "dad" got together. This would also explain why Bree says that she won't be seeing her "mom" for a very long time. Also, neither of them wore any wedding rings, as was discovered in very early videos.

I would say abducted, only because of all the stuff with Crowley. I could be way off here, I dont think she was adopted. I would have thought (even with the order) that they would have told her sooner. Because they still could have molded her the way they wanted her. Then again, telling her could have thrown everything off. I just think abducted when I think of cultish act's. Just me though.
If you don't like it. All I can tell you to do is, get over it!

you know i tend to think a little of both.
more on the adopted side and the reason wy is a simple theory we had a while back...
Bree is Jonas's sister.
You know I completely disagreed with this theory earlier on in the game, but now, thinking about it...they act like siblings, theyhave a sibling....vibe, and they are facing the same challenges.
Think about it this way:
Jonas's parents disapper, there are two young children. And a Nanny. The Nanny could have easily been a member of the order. She noticed the birthmark on Bree's back that resembles the watcher symbol. She goes, informes the order about the sacred symbol that is NATURALLY on this child. THe order must ave her, take her and find her a family.
It's abduction in a way, but because she was parentless...it's adoption.
wierd theory. but backed up with a story.

Yeah that was what I was thinking...I've said from the beginning thats why I didn't like the idea of them hooking up...they just seem more brother/sister like. They both are good looking..and they seem similar. They almost even look similar to me, too. Go figure...and I can really see Jonas talking to stuffed animals...haha ^_^ Plus, this would definately kepe the door open for Daniel to be her only love interest.
How old is Jonas, anyway?
Maybe they are twins. ^_^

I doubt that they're twins. Bree is supposed to be, what, sixteen? There's no way Social Services would allow Jonas to live guardianless for some time at sixteen. We'd have heard about Social Services visits by now, I'm guessing. He's probably at least eighteen.nobackspacebutton wrote: How old is Jonas, anyway?

Genetically engineered children do not need to be the same age to be made of the same material.vicious_kittie wrote:I doubt that they're twins. Bree is supposed to be, what, sixteen? I'm serious Becker's. Her "Dad" was a research scientist who specialized in ribosomes. That's gene splicing. There is a long history of secret societies being involved in the pursuit of creating super humans through genetic engineering. Why not Bree and Jonas? For that matter - maybe the common thread that ties all the orders "Children" together is that they are all genetically engineered. Bree turned out to be the best specimen. That's why she's special. I think it's plausible.

I prefer the idea of abduction. So I was biased in my vote
Still, my reasons were because the creators created the Order based on rumors and popular perceptions of cults and pagan religions. Abducting children helps the Order get a little evil-er and also ties into the idea of child abuse and control.
