where i live (minneapolis) they made it a law that you cant drink until 8am on your 21st birthday, to try and deter people from doing "power hour" or trying to get as drunk as possible from 12-2 am. WTF

that's why i called my local bar place i wanna go-to to make sure i can.. so i don't get all dolled up and dressed spiffy to get there to no avail.

i went to the casino on my 21st b-day, i did not even drink back then - i think about how lame that was...

edit: not "not drinking" just going to casino cause I hate to gamble.

yeah its really stupid, cuz that just means you are gonna have more people wasted at 8am. lol luckily for me i was in vegas for my 21st so i didnt have to worry about that there!

in california. i swear.. the liquor stores are basically open 24/7..

i think they close at 4 am and re open at 6 am just to re-stock.

ugh our plan was to goto vegas for mine too, but i ended up going all out secretly for my boyfriends 21st which was back in july..

i planned a whole surprise trip back home (california) for him and didn't tell him until the morning that we were leaving.. heheheh

it was the best!!

i even made sure to call his work like 2 months in advance so they knew he'd need the time off, and i got his boss to still put him on the schedule, so he wouldn't get pissed about the forced time off LOL
