Sighing, "Gee whiz Timmy, if only....Damn the stars of fate" with one hand on her car keys and one foot out the door.
The "love you like a brother" type here is....can we guess?
That's right! It's Daniel.
It sucks but there it is. The poor guy has been there from the begiing, and has invested more than any one else. I have a feeling there are more than one or two of us out there that have been on the "business end" of that little baloon popper!
I guess there are male/female platonic friends but ask any guy any straight guy and they will probably tell you that "aint how it started"
I'm not being a cave man, it's just the cold hard truth
I do think some of the arguments for Jonas and Bree being siblings are compelling.
I first starting thinking about it when she moved into his house, before Daniel came there, and there was absolutely no hint of romantic connection. Sure, not every male-female pair of teens is going to start going at it when the adults leave the room, but these are incredibly good looking people stuck out in the middle of nowhere together with no better way to pass the time -- yet zilch for sex or romance.
Now that we know Bree's biological parents are unaccounted for and Jonas' might be dead and might not be, its at least a technical possibility.
Actually Kristin your observations further support my idea that perhaps Joanus isn't even playing for "the same team" as Bree and Daniel. If you get what I'm sayin'
That's not a homophobic knock it's just a thought. It probably wouldn't have even come up if we hadn't started speculating about the sexual tension developing among the characters

He didn't hit on Daniel, either, now did he?
Maybe Jonas is asexual. Although something tells me that those who think he's hot would be severely disappointed in that idea.
Jonas is no Bruce Wayne, but he is a mild-mannered millionare with a secret identity.
He's HamsterMan, and his parents' bedroom is really the entrance to the HamsterCave.
The reference to Bruce Wayne and the hamster tags all make sense now!
i haven't read through all this, so I'm not sure if this has already come up.
If you think about it Jonas is just a random "fan" who watched Bree's and Daniel's videos on the internet and offered them a place to stay. It was pure "chance" that they stumbled upon him. He just became canon (or was all along).
so unless there's some really far-fetched storyline, him being Bree's brother is about as likely as me being Bree's sister.
iamcool wrote:i dont think anyone thinks hes a random fan, he was brought in by the creators
yeah, but I think the creators initially thought of him that way. I just don't think it's very likely that he's her brother if his character is someone they met over youtube, but anything can happen...
Taig wrote:So what if it turns out that Bree is in fact related to one of them?
That wouldn't stop Joan-us and Daniel from falling in love and living happily ever after in the mansion in the moffle of nowhere.
I am so absolutely outraged by that I could just scream. Please refrain from making such inane posts in this serious discussion.
And if it is a joke, it is a poor one...
Nothing could be more serious monkey man....
Why is it so hard to believe that Joan-us is gay? Or is it that you don't WANT to believe Joan-us is gay?
Perhaps you would be happier with the idea that they are aliens?
I think the whole Jonas <3 Daniel sitch is perfectly plausible. I think what George was getting at is that this thread is to discuss how Bree and Jonas might be siblings, not Jonas's future hook-ups...
curiousGeorge wrote:Back OT: If Bree and Jonas are bro and sister, that would explain why Bree was spirited away to NZ as a child. But why would they come back to the States and risk them ever possibly meeting each other?
Possibly for the ceremony, if it has to be in a specific location.
Maybe Jonas's 'parents' who disappeared weren't really his parents either. Maybe Bree and Jonas were twins separated at birth, both raised in separate homes, and both of whom are necessary for the ceremony. Soo what I'm getting at is maybe Jonas was supposed to be in the ceremony too, but he doesn't know about it because his parents disappeared before the time for preparation came?
