Poor Pluto

Added: September 05, 2006

Description: Pluto isn't a planet? I had to make a video about that! I can really understand not fitting in...

Bree: For today’s Proving Science Wrong I turned Daniel into a pair of scissors. I just decided I needed scissors more than I needed someone reading a magazine on my bed. Remember these? Well it's time to snip off Pluto. Being half the size of Antarctica just couldnt've helped. And then there was the question of all that unorthodox orbiting. (sped up audio) “Around here we orbit the sun in a perfect circle, Or we don’t orbit at all.” Pluto is no longer a planet. Ceres, Zena, UB313. These are Pluto's new friends. Do they sound like the kids that you want to eat lunch with? No way. So today instead of Proving Science Wrong we're gonna help Pluto adjust to it's new peer group. First thing you're gonna have to learn to deal with... rings. I know a couple of your old friends had 'em... Saturn, Jupiter... but you're gonna have to accept that these new friends of yours... don't ... have ... rings. As you probably know, I've been home schooled most of my life, and then I went to High School. During my first week there I had this teacher that I really liked and he was really into stars and I love stars, so I asked a lot of questions. So pretty soon kids started saying that I thought I was so smart or something and I told myself that I didn't care and then they started saying that I was from a star. I kept asking questions. So finally they stopped calling me stargirl and they stopped saying that I thought that I was smart and instead they started saying that I was doing something with my teacher. And that's when I stopped asking questions about stars.

I bolded what might be important.... and underlined, italicized, and bolded what i have a hunch may lead to a clue....or i could be wrong...other than that...no music... nothing else of interest...please tell me if you find anything else...but i think someone should research Ceres, Zena, and UB313

That's interesting, I hadn't realized about the sped up audio there. That does seem significant.

My brains turning to mush for the night I think, though. Next shift should be in soon :)
Maybe I'll throw some "A Perfect Circle" on and get some rest before work.

I'm far away...so I don't think they can kill me
"This is not a game" is a phrase that's been used before in ARGs, so the line is a confirmation that it is an ARG.

That actually, is quite a norm in today's society...sweet leap'n I'm going to catch a lot of flak for this...and it's pretty funny when it does. More of a growing experience, unless it turns to homicide.

You just got bukoo points for the Perfect Circle reference, in my book at least!

Yeah...about that...

I posted a whole "you take your life into your own hands" thing on some board...but the gist was, that, yeah it could happen...so don't go alone & if your like me & you lonewolf it every now and then you'd better be confident that you can take care of yourself.

If you're scared...there is a reason...fear tells you when to be careful, it doesn't tell you NOT to do something. If you think going it alone is pretty sketchy, grab some backup. I do...of course my "becareful meter" has been tampered with...

Besides, finding a clue is much more satisfying when there are people to share it with.

Luv2Luvem wrote:No you're right Toadlguy...We have just assumed thus far that the cerimony will be Oct 12, nothing has been confirmed. However, the cookie ratings suggesting a date that we definately know is Crowley's b-day is too much of a coincidence. I think we have very good reason to assume it's the 12th...jmo
Sorry if I missed anything, or if this belongs in a different thread (still have 7 pages to catch up with this thread alone) but... I think the 10/12/06 was a confirmation of the Crowley connection (I believe people had already spotted the picture and started putting it together before then). Therefore, this poem's reference of the 1st could be the date of the actual ceremony? Anyone know if there are any Thelema ceremonies on the first of the month that start at dawn? Also, how do we know what calender to use to figure out when it is? Quick google for Thelemic calendar turns up http://oto-usa.org/calendar.html. Maybe we need to dig around there for a bit?

I still see it as this:

We are going to the the final (And hardest) clue on the 1st. We need to decipher it quickly as we only have until the 12th to save Bree/Daniel/Cassie. We just need to be ready guys.

i'm back! you guys made me miss my morning class! Cassie is ruining my life!!!!!

let me just point out that the LG15 folks have shown no qualms with making up history so far- apparently a lot of the historical references she makes aren't actually true (like the one about the Romans being cannibals), so it may be useless doing all this research about different ceremonies and dates. cuz they could just as easily make up their own. not that it's not an amazing time-waster hahaha

as for cassie's people... yeah, i can see them going for authenticity. it is getting harder and harder to distinguish between the two groups, because CiW seems like either a supergenius or an insider. or both.

 and about the Wicker Man, Cu(i think he's the one who said that), i haven't seen it... but from what i've heard of it i realized that you're right about my theory... it's just that everybody keeps on running across sources that pinpoint young virginal boys as making better sacrifices than young virginal girls. although i'm not entirely sure Daniel fits that description.

SO I am beginning to wonder if we have all gone mad because of Cassie. It is just too intruiging to drop.

I keep going back to the swimming video, when Bree talks about Cassie she says to Daniel "I heard you were kind of mean to her" I might be worng about that since my speakers are not the greatest. This makes me think that maybe it isn't Cassie vs. Bree, but both girls vs. Daniel. I hate to think of Daniel as a bad guy. But in the poem the line about a 'sword of hate' def. speaks to me of a penis and sexual assault. This is all just so confusing.

Sorry if any of this is redundant, this thread is just moving to fast to keep up with.

Also this whole thing just reminds of the book "Pattern Recognition" by WIlliam Gibson. The whole mysterious footage and the legion of people obsessed with it and trying to figure it out. It all happened in the book, but in the book it wasn't discovered to be an ARG. SO its proably pointless, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

I never heard her say that...I heard her saying people were always mean to her...not Daniel...

Would that make us all footage heads then?
