No More Ceremony?

Bree does know a lot and The Order knows she does, so why is she still alive? And are they really still after her? Maybe she's more special than any of the other girls, so that's why she is still alive...who knows.

haha, sorry for changing point of views, I was just trying to look at it from different angles.

The Order seemed a bit preoccupied with shooting Mr.Bree to capture her. Plus, she was running like hell to get out of there.

The only proof that the Order wasn't chasing her: Nobody followed Jonas's car out of the parking garage. Or did they...?

Jonas' car was left at the parking garage, and since the Order is everywhere and has people as police officers, I don't see why they haven't track Bree down by running the license plate...or maybe they have.

The Order shot Bree's dad cuz he revealed information to her that could possibly be used to destroy the Order, why would they let Bree get away knowing that same information? Why didn't they shoot her? They have thousands of girls that are clueless, and have no idea what their religion actually is, why keep Bree around?

I hope Bree hasn't told us everything that her father told her, cuz it aint much, I hope she has more information to reveal.

I thought the same thing, that's why I said that maybe there's something about Bree that's more special than any of the other girls....? who knows, that could be the reason they're still chasing her.

Perhaps they were aiming for Bree and Mr.Bree jumped in the way. I like BlueEyes's theory that Bree is extra-special. Though I hope she comes in contact with Tachy, I doubt they'd intertwine the ARG and the Regular Plot so soon.

I thought we knew that the ceremony in October was a setup to catch Daniel? Doesn't that therefore imply that the *real* ceremony isn't in October? I like the idea that it's already taken place, but I think maybe it hasn't happened yet.

I'm still out on why the Order is sort of half-heartedly after Bree. Tossing the motel seems to have been ordered to make Bree run - the room could have been searched as easily without it looking like someone had been there. I think there was a theory a while back that Bree is being allowed to run as some kind of test, or because of the free will idea, that she has to come to them of her own free will.

Just some thoughts

Maybe the ceremony wasn't at a specific time and date.

And maybe if these girls don't make it to the real ceremony, they perform a fake one.

But also, we need to remember that Bree said many girls were trained for this...can we assume that 100 girls would be performing this ceremony? or just one special girl?

And how would they know the girl was special at birth if not by gene's?

In my own opinion...

THe reason that they didn't fully try to go after Bree in the arking garage is because they are playing head games with her.
Think about it...
With Gemma they played head games through her. They probably directed her exsactly what to say. Gemma played a lot of head games. It's your decision, it's not your decision, go home, don't go home, trust jonas, don't trust him, trust daniel, don't trust daniel...and all the wierd stories...it all seemed to mean something more important, but head game-ish...
The order has had a plan in action for a while, and I think this is it.
They are trying to find a way to turn everyone on Bree's side against her (in her mind). Bree is starting to get frustrated with Jonas and Daniel, all because of actions the order takes. And because of her teachings from the order, she cannot deal with their compasion the way they (and we) want her to. THe order did this to protect them, and prepare her for a situation that if she was used to get information on the order by an outside source, emotionally and mental, she is capable to ignore and be irritated by compasion and emotion.
Think about it...
Daniel told us that her mom told her tat showing of emotion is a weakness...
So if my theory is right...THEN the order is using it to her advantage. They want Bree to turn against Daniel and Jonas. And they want to make it seem like a hopeless and lonely situation in her mind, so she will give up. And flee...to the only thing that she's ever felt comfortable in, and to the people who will understand what she is going through...

I agree. I think obedience would be a necessary requirement for the ceremony, and it is evident she's not. I think the Order would think she's not worthy to participate in their special ceremony.

I wonder what is just so special about Bree. Are they looking for girls who still play with stuff animals once they reach puberty?

If the Order is national, then it's generally the same idea.

And how would they know the girl was special at birth if not by gene's?Thousands of girls being chosen doesn't make them all special. Just...slightly different. I assume this number is narrowed down by the amount of girls who are actually trained, probably a few hundred. One could know if a child is different at birth by genes, appearance, (pre)maturity, birthdate, or infantile characteristics.

I have always believed that the ceremony DID take place, but that Bree wanted Daniel to stop worrying and following her around, so she lied to him and told him that it wasn't real.

Anyway, it is odd that they haven't tried to grab her. I don't have any answers why they haven't.
