Jamesyboy,

I believe you might enjoy Colonial Williamsburg. You get American history, plus entertainment. It's a virtually no crime area. It's very close to where I am in NC. I've wanted to go for quite a while.

San Diego is the 6th largest city in the US, but the crime rate is below the 10th% of all 50 states. I lived there for 3 years. It's just a big city with a small town atmosphere. Sea World is there. The weather is always perfect. Everything there is expensive though. It's all twice the price of North Carolina, where I live now.

I've just been hopping back and forth from the LGpedia, the main comment board, the main video board, and the other boards in the comm forum. I miss things. Sorry!!

Yes, I need to practice maintaing the accent. I think in the 1st vid I did as Dr.Marbella, I maintained it better. I LOVE saying, "Rah-ther."

I LOVE Red Dwarf. It only comes on here late at night, so I used to rent the DVD's from Netflix regularly.

Oh, and I agree with Jess (since we are both Southern Belles,) that Savannah is amazing (and safe!) and I will add that I love Jekyll and St. Simon's Island. They are right off the coast of Georgia. Jekyll is cheapest and St. Simon's is mid-range. Sea Island is like Hollywood. It's all million dollar properties and five star restaurants, but it is fun to drive through.

I've never been to Charleston, but everyone comes back from there and says they had fun.

Thank you, Jamesyboy.. It would be a nice trade-off. The problem with me is that I went to private school. So, although I was born and grew up in rural Georgia, I have virtually no trace of a Southern accent, unfortunately. I went to school with "yankees," wealthy kids, children of doctors and generals, etc.

My father sounds like Jimmy Carter. My mother sounded like Scarlet O'Hara. When I put on the accent, it is just as "pretend" as the British one, unfortunately.

You'll have to enjoy Jess's!!

(But, I was raised with the other Southern Belle stuff--like how to make the perfect iced tea and how to tell someone to go to hell and make them think it was a compliment, etc.)
