I am from Florida, and this explains the twang you detected. I try to conceal it, but I am not a professional announcer or anything.

I have a big ol twang from what I've been told, so I guess I notice it more on other people now that it's been brought to my attention.

Oh, and I see that my video is now up as a response vid. Excellent! That was quick. I only submitted it a few hours ago.

Of course, it really doesn't matter when they approve my videos, as none of them are response specific.
