Silly youngun. Like I said in the "For the Ladies" thread, Maverick was originally a Western semi-comedy TV show starring James Garner. It was later (in 1994) turned into a movie starring Mel Gibson (ugh) and Jodie Foster, with James Garner as the sheriff.

Y'all need to have more of a historical perspective in your media references. (For example, did you know that the current DeGrassi TV show is the second incarnation? I used to watch the first one. Great stuff.)
