High Holy Days

Post by gogo »

October 1st and 2nd of 2006 is Yom Kipper (for those of the Jewish faith)
In ancient times, Yom Kipper was performed by the High Priest in the temple. The temple ceremony was preceded by seven days of preparation for the High Priest. This rehearsal time was devoted to recitations, repentance, and spiritual purity. On the morning of the Great Day, he would dress in white robes and offer a sacrificial bull on behalf of the Priesthood. He would then enter the Holy of Holies and ask the Lord for forgiveness. The High Priest would also offer goat sacrifices on behalf of the entire congregation of Israel.

I'm still hearing Frank Jana...maybe just because it's in my head from the other audio but it sooooo sounds like Frank. Which makes me sad. WTF is FRANK?!

Zephier: at 17 seconds there's a slight bit of reversed music...followed a bit later by the major reversed 'message'. How do you figure it to be a RATM song??

On the reversed audio, it's not "Frank" (which is ridiculous, btw)....my husband and I believe it to be....

"The lake is waiting..."

oooh! now i prefer "the lake is waiting"... but what lake??? that really screws things up... that wasn't a lake in the previous vid, before anyone says so.

EDIT: but i still hear frank... and i was doubting it before i listened.

I can't hear "lake" but it sure makes much more sense than "frank".

this is the link for revelation 1 in the bible

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?bo ... version=31

about the rage against the machine lyric. dont listen to a sped up or slowded down version of the backwards audio. listen to it at normal pace and around 17s you'll hear the rage audio hit.

Go see if you can stream the song 'killing in the name' and you'll hear the exact lyric as the first line. Trust me, 7 years ago I was in love with rage and i'm sure about that bit.

EDIT: CAN WE PLEASE TAKE THIS LORDGREYSTROKE CONVERSATION SOMEWHERE ELSE? The signal to noise ratio is getting a bit out of hand.

I promise that I'll read through all of your argument posts :D !
