[PUZZLE][SOLVED] Braille in 'miss me'
Moderator: Moderators
I'll second someone's idea for OIAMSAD being DO AS I AM.
Something that I haven't seen discussed: who are we assuming made this braille message? Op? Daniel (doubt it)? some (blind lol) infiltrate in Op's editing room? And who is it addressed to? Bree (doubt it)? Jonas? us?

The only way I can see it as possibly being numbers is in conjunction with the letters. Meaning - once we decode it as letters, we use the numbers for the heinz square part.
Otherwise, there's really no way for us to be able to tell which characters are numbers and which characters are letters. That would make things needlessly difficult.
Only thing is: which characters? Z doesn't stand for a number. So we can't just do the heinz square with those two words, swapping the letters for numbers.
I think if we are to do something with the heinz square, it would be with the numbers associated with times on the video itself.

Just throwing these out there, I could be wrong.
UL#1 LADFINE = final ed. = final edition? Meaning Bree's last chance?
UL#2 HESTERPINP = he's pre-pint? Meaning the bartender works for the Order and Daniel never made it into the bowling alley the second time. Therefore the info Jonas got about "Cowboy" was false and they wasted time following him around. Meanwhile, something went on at Jonas' house (cameras maybe?)

Perhaps, but in English braille, there's a prefix character used to designate that numbers are to follow. I don't see this prefix character anywhere (it's looks like a backwards capital L).JustAnotherLonelyGirl. wrote:The first 10 letters of the alphabet are also numbers 0-9, right?
So couldn't these also be numbers+letters... l33t maybe? (i don't really get l33t very well) or tinyurls?

RHDA = HARD - I think we can all agree
LAD FINE = LINE FAD / FADE NIL / AND FILE
ZINEH = HIENZ - I think we can all agree
QUERAS LIME = Square Mile- I think we can all agree
HESTERPINP = PRINTS HEEP / SPIN THE REP(PRE?) / THE SNIPER P
OIAMSAD = SAID MAO / IS MAD OA
What if we are meant to descramble them like this:
RHDALADFINEZINEHQUERASLIMEHESTERPINPOIAMSAD word by word and using ones from each braille sign together?

Alright, I'm probably wrong then. I don't know very much about braille. =)McPackage wrote:Perhaps, but in English braille, there's a prefix character used to designate that numbers are to follow. I've been anagramming for hours and I was desperately hoping for something fresh to work on.
Yeah so I'm going to bed now or I'll anagram to death.

Be careful linking "Square Mile". We can also just as easily link "Heinz Square". This is tempting. Until someone math-oriented works through the Heinz Square hypothesis, we just can't judge this.itsreallyreal wrote:

Good point.. Sorry...
The only thing I really felt good about was the "And File" thing... I THINK that's new or did somone already post that?
HARD and FILE could be percieved as "HARD DRIVE AND FILE" or even like a "Drop Contents" reference?

That's new! I'm adding it to the summary now.itsreallyreal wrote:

Careful adding more words to what we've got, though! If we open the door to plugging in extra words, we'll never run out of options! hehe.

I like that Hard File and Square Mile rhyme.
HESTERPINP
The press pins? I dunno, pints and pins is in that one, but cannot be together. That stinks.
HE ISN'T PREP -- A long shot. He isn't prepared?
Fine Lad?
DO AS I AM is a good one.
Edit because I don't want to keep making new posts.
OK I hate to do this but:
1 square mile is equivalent to:
* 4,014,489,600 square inches
* 27,878,400 square feet
* 3,097,600 square yards
* 640 acres
* 25,899,881,103.36 square centimetres
* 2,589,988.110336 square metres
* 2.589988110336 square kilometres
and:
"The City of London is now a major business and commercial centre, ranking alongside New York City as the leading centre of global finance. It is often referred to as just the City or as the Square Mile"

Just a thought that wasn't put up here. Going along with combining all the letters which seems like way to much, but maybe we're are supposed to combine all the letters from each of the corners for example, put all the Upper Right letters together and anagram those, then all the Lower Right together ect ect. I don't have time to play with it now though. If someone wants to look into it, or I'll do it tomorrow.

here's my attempt. I figured I'd tackle the overarching anagram theory - there were too many relevant words in there for me to resist.
This is in no way complete, but there is a phrase that could be something. I though I'd post it here in case it inspires others to drive into a potential culdesac (since the prevailing theory is this is not a mere anagram - and I agree, but)...er ugh...get some ideas about how this is playing out:
SheRequires Seized Propaganda Film Than Him Daniel
Hi Im in headquarters he Seized Propaganda Film lens
Purple moneky dishwasher (jk
Anyway - I'm tapped out - and this may not even be the right direction, but here's other words that I didn't follow, but came out of this (these are random samplings, not unreapeating)
pins and pints
headache
quarrel
Gemma lies
opaphid
daniel
Also note - this is dependat on the line of braile with the supposed "G" (d was undecided, but it would eliminate propaganda)
Done for this puzzle tonight - even if it was in the wrong direction, it was a nice distraction.
