I know my father didn't even propose properly to my step-mom. He found out when my sister was going to be home for a while (she was in the services until recently) and he said "oh great, so we'll have the wedding when she's home. It took ten minutes for my stepmom to realize he meant their wedding, that they'd never even talked about having
