I did answer my good man!! I've been good. trip was great, lots of experiences and memories and photos. Only problem was that I lost my wallet this morning so had to fly home without it!! Now got to pay to have it sent back to me. £65. Bit of a pain really.

Just ploughing through about 100 photos to see if any came out decent!! How've you been mate?

I said that because the UK distributor for my book wants to sell it at 8 pounds.

The USA price is $15.95..

That's roughly twice as much in US.

I'm sorry that happened to you, though!!

Really sucks.

Jo, I would LOVE to visit Portugal.

I actually had a friend who was Portuguese. Both of her parents came from Portugal, and whe went over there several times to see her "home country."

What I love about the UK:

(1) Typical employees get 3-4 weeks vacation/"holiday" time each year, regardless of years worked.

(2) Although the cost of health care is twice as much (and most of it is socialized) citizens (or should I say "subjects of the queen") are twice as healthy.. HALF the amount of strokes, heart attacks, diabetes, etc.. almost every major illness.

People in the UK are less stressed.

Most of them are colder, though..

Am I right, Jamesy, about #1.. I know I'm right about #2. I can link to the Medscape article on it.

Yeah I guess so on the whole. I personally get 25 days per year (plus 8 public & privelege days) though which rises to 30 days after 10 years service. We also get flexi time rather than overtime, so I tend to accrue in total about 50 days leave per year. I've got about 60 days to use up at the moment this year.
