So far what I've got...need tweaking:

1 the gate inside you will defend (inside the gate you will defend?)
2 oppose them yet old needy friend.
3 the picture has not yet commenced
4 ?
5 the danger where we'll tie her kind
6 still holds the cup for you to find

Again, based on the picture... I told you I'm crap at anagrams... anyway, based on the picture, I think the 2nd line is wrong (looks like it starts with "the"), and I think it is "inside the gate".

If L....

There is no L or F in the start of line 4. If, line 4 is not reversed, then everything we have so far is wrong.

gah youre right, people are putting them switched on the guess, and thats what ive been using.

In the pic the first line looks like it begins with an A, not an I. jmo

"If" could be "It", and the "L" is way too obscure to be sure about.
