Long time lurker first time poster. I haven't had anything original to contribute so please do not be suspicious of my post. I created my account today because I have never needed to post before. anyway ...
A CEDE RIPOSTS SO | CEDE IF NIL NOS.
I get for the first part "It escapes doors | lion is fenced"
the wording seems weird to me but I can't seem to figure out something better for the second half. I am pretty certain about the excapes doors part tho. This is assuming the a is in the first half which i couldnt come up with anythign good without the 'a'.
EDIT
typos
also upon a second glance it could mean whaever IT is can excape doors where a lion is fenced? But again seems very odd. But from the image it does look like the word It and escapes isnt a long shot.

I finally got it:
CEDE IF NIL NOS A CEDE RIPOSTS SO.
Eo's pride stoic as lions fenced.
EDIT:
EOS' PRIDE STOIC AS LIONS FENCED.
Eos was the Greek goddess of the dawn and as we all know pride also the name for a flock of lions.

Dumb question, is the anagram supposed to be solved with just the first section of each sentence BEFORE the vertical bar, or are you suppoed to use the entire line to solve it?verbalcollateral wrote:DEED IF NULL YOW | A ED GEE HI STINT
ED YLON DE | SEETHE MOP TYPO.
CONCEDE TEN TOM MY | A TETCHIER PUSH,
CEDE IF NIL NOS A | CEDE RIPOSTS SO.
ED HEEL KILN WRIT | A ED ERG HEN THREW
DOFF ION YO RUT | HITCHED POLLS SLUT.
is it supposed to be divided like this? or do we just do it line by line?
If it's the first, then I tried solving one of the easy ones (due to # of letters). Here's what I got if it's worth anything. There weren't a whole lot of combinations for this three word clue, so unless you're supposed to use the entire line to solve it, then this might be right.
ED YLON DE = Ye old end??
Now that I type that I realize how silly that is. Oh well, let me know on my question so I am spending my time wisely. Thanks!
It's very easy to upload - http://www.imageshack.us/holiday wrote:do you guys want a (possibly) clearer image of the picture?

Then copy the tag they provide into the post - Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V
At this point (I hesitate to say it) anything is welcome

the reason i ask if it is divided in this manner :
DEED IF NULL YOW | A ED GEE HI STINT
ED FIR NYLON DEED | SEETHE MOP TYPO.
CONCEDE TEN TOM MY | A TETCHIER PUSH,
CEDE IF NIL NOS A | CEDE RIPOSTS SO.
ED HEEL KILN WRIT | A ED ERG HEN THREW
DOFF ION YO RUT | HITCHED POLLS SLUT.
is because in the picture (http://img473.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... ed4gd6.jpg) the second line clearly looks like it says "the fo..." or "she fo...". However, if we stick to the divison and reversal, the second half of the second line "SEETHE MOP TYPO" does NOT have an "f" in it.
perhaps my wording is a bit confusing... i hope you see what i'm getting at.

the sounds pretty good but I dont see how that fits the image.murph25 wrote:A CEDE RIPOSTS SO | CEDE IF NIL NOS
=
A corpse does sit | in soil fenced
But i think you are on to something with soil fenced. That sounds much better than lion is fenced. I was stuck on corpse too but I can't get it to fit the 'It' in the picture.
never used imageshack before, but hopefully this will work

i'm still working on it more, so i may come up with something better. i'll keep trying.
edit to put in just the url

Please disregard verbalcollateral's second line. He has missed some letters out of the morse translation, which should be:dlruss0216 wrote:Dumb question, is the anagram supposed to be solved with just the first section of each sentence BEFORE the vertical bar, or are you suppoed to use the entire line to solve it?

ED FIR NYLON DEED SEETHE MOP TYPO.
Which split and reversed (see Cassies crib anagram at the top) is:
SEETHE MOP TYPO | ED FIR NYLON DEED.
Splits are the best suggestions only (move them if you think it works better). Then anagram each half separately.
