Agreed, the order isn't stupid, they would have done their homework on Tachy. However, that doesn't mean I agree with the theory that the order dropped it in the car.Ali Zain wrote:daniel should have shown us the books he should know that the puzzle can be answered within hours if we all know what it is, but he probably wants to do it himself to impress Bree and it could be from the Order, I mean they would watch the Tachyon videos too so they know about nancy drew, it would have been smart of them to give Daniel a trigger that would make him act a certain way

Yes, there was a Nancy Drew reference from Tachyon.
And Daniel feels the need to solve it on his own because people are stupid when they are jealous and act irrationally.
(wonders if this will hit home with people or if they will not even realize its directed at them)

It's official!! I'm getting married September 28, 2007!!
Tach loves Nancy Drew...as does NikkiB.
I think Daniel feels like the third wheel...and maybe that he needs to redeem himself after the whole capture thing, too.

It was in a previous drop as well_K_lynn wrote:was there a nancy drew reference prior to this video that i had missed or something? I have in my head somewhere that the whole nancy drew thing was mentioned from before but i cant remember exactly.
I think this package is from Tach, but why does daniel feel he needs to solve it on his own?
ok, first post I know, suspicious, whatever.
It just occurred to me, if the syllables of the "poem" is meant to be relevant then they could refer to page numbers, lines or word numbers (from the start of a line).
There could also be a clue in the poem to indicate what book to check, dunno what that could be though.
I reckon if you check that book and find the word it could be the password to the encrypted disk.
Anyway, I'm just rambling off an idea in a hurry cos I'm late for work.

Just so you know, this was already caught by a whole bunch of people quickly after the video came out. It's been well in established both in the "videos" section and Parallax that the haiku is in fact, not a haiku.bobots wrote:

Where it all started
the answer is before you
a subtle clue I Drew
which has a 5-7-6 syllable ending. which is weird. and un-haiku-like.
it could mean something or could totally not. idk. i catch weird things.
Hey! That was my lucky assassin hat!

I think the whole idea that the package isn't from Tachyon and that the books might trigger Daniel is just our collective wild imagination getting the best of us.
The videos like to give us a little stability once in a while. They just got to the cabin and now Daniel is going to go crazy on them? I think they need to establish this new setting a bit longer. I'm still leaning towards the simple idea that Tachyon left the package and we have to solve the puzzle to maybe tell us the code for the disk. I hope it's that simple for now.
And I still say we need to zoom in on the brown paper used to wrap the package. Maybe there's a clue on it. It seems odd to wrap it like that.
