What is still in print?
At your local bookstores and online, you can still purchase the classic hardback 56 stories, although the first 34 are revisions. These come in the glossy flashlight yellow spine picture cover style. The paperbacks that continued the original series from volume 57 onward, are mostly out of print. However, Grosset & Dunlap will begin reprinting these paperbacks in sets of 8 beginning with volumes 57-64 in the glossy flashlight yellow spine picture cover style. Currently in bookstores, are the ongoing Nancy Drew Notebooks series and the Nancy Drew: Girl Detective series.
What are the various Nancy Drew® series about?
The Classic Series:
The classic series consists of the original 56 Grosset & Dunlap hardback books from The Secret of the Old Clock to The Thirteenth Pearl. Continuing this series, is the Digest sized paperback series published by Simon & Schuster. These paperbacks include volumes 57 through the last digest 175, Werewolf in a Winter Wonderland.

I'm almost positive it's:
No. 7 "The Clue in the Diary"
No. 10 “Password to Larkspur Lane”
No. 19 “The Quest of the Missing Map”
No. 52 “The Secret of the Forgotton City”
No. 63 "The Twin Dilemma"
That last one may still be disputed, or whatever. I really have no idea where we are on that any more-- I'm fairly confident of it, though.

OK just to spice up the course of the clue hunt...
I think these are the keys...
1 = Tachyon's Note... (X's and y's as well as the poem)
2 = Nancy Drew (Don;t think it is specific to any book but I could be wrong...)
3 = This:

OK.. Sorry as you were... I just think we may be reading too deep into Nancy Drew and neglecting the real clue here..xAccordianGuyx wrote:Raybolt.itsreallyreal wrote:Wait... What was the characters name she mentioned to him that "Did" it???
I have no clues to offer you... But I know how to download if you're offering!!!
I love sleep Ok, so my morning thoughts on all this, based off your recent posts:
1) If us knowing what all the books were was important, they would have been more prominently displayed. The only book that they have done that with is "The Clue in the Diary", which showed up clearly in Daniels vid and Bree's latest;
2) The name of the file, SEMIOTICS, means that anyone should be able to figure out what the password is, it should have universal meaning;
3) Daniel is not a coder, so the puzzle is not going to be super difficult. Remember back to the first few puzzles, when OpAphid was yelling at us ever 30 minutes to stop OVER-analyzing things;
4) My opinion is that we do not have enough info yet. This is either by design, so that we have to keep pace w/ Daniel, or we are missing something very obvious.
Either way, OpAphid and Tachyon have become less than dilligent in responding to e-mails. In the past we could bounce ideas off them and get clues, or at the very least a simple response to if we are on the right track. This doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

we definately do not have all the information.
but the full list of books may prove helpful in the future. so its a good idea to have the full list.
Gathering as much information before hand may lead to an easy solve in the future.

I agree, if we could get a confirmed list. But it seems like we are pulling a "Rorschach test" with the screen caps from the videos. I could never trust any "complete" list we put together because there is no way to confirm. Until someone gets some clear screen caps OR Tachyon confirms a list we have, we are just guessing there.Killthesmiley wrote:we definately do not have all the information.
