Cell Phones/Jonas Theory
Moderator: Moderators
I thought the theories about Jonas were nonsense until he used his cell phone when driving to his parents' place in the mountains. The creators seem to be making it quite obvious right now that he's suspicious.
I reckon him and Bree will get really close, Daniel will get pissed then all will be revealed and Daniel will save her.

Can't we all just get along?

I really doubt Bree's going to get kidnapped. I'm confused why so many think that's a likelihood. There have been soooooooooooooooo many opportunities for them to just grab her, but they never have. They seem to take as much care in not physically forcing her as they do in knowing where she is. They go out of their way not to do it.
*we've seen Bree having a conversation with Daniel on her house phone ("He Said, She Said"); not a cell phone, but it's a phone
*we've seen Bree say she called Daniel's cell phone ("Where's Daniel?")
*we've seen her say she called it again ("Daniel's Missing!")
*we've seen Bree holding up her cell phone and saying she got a text message from Daniel and tried calling him back("Looking For Daniel")
*we've seen that Daniel took his cell with him on both occasions he went to Pins 'N Pints ("Truth Or Dare," "For The Ladies")
And, of course, Tachyon and Brother most likely have them. I don't think there's anything peculiar about any of these people having or using a cell phone. The odd thing would be if they didn't have them, as so many people do.
Nonetheless, in this situation, it is strange for one of them to be using a cell phone.

Daniel's not their goal, though.Ali Zain wrote:Opaphid had chances to snatch daniel away before but they didn't until the time was right the same could go for Bree, they are very patient people.
As for Bree, they've also told her it's her choice. Apparently she has to do this willingly. Also, when asked why they don't just take Bree, OpAphid said in an e-mail today that there's "special parameters" they have to work within with certain individuals. Everything seems to still point to them not forcing Bree.
If they sent you that email about Annie today, maybe it was saying something was going to happen tomorrow, and no body really knows what Opaphid wants until they take it, and it might be Bree's choice for now, but if they get down to the time when they need her to do the ceremony they might try more forceful ways to get her to choose to do the ceremony

Including the whole "free will" concept that has infused the series since very early on, and that has recently been discussed at length in this thread.Lurker wrote:As for Bree, they've also told her it's her choice. IOW, Lurker, I think you're absolutely right on about this topic. There's no way that the Order will grab Bree. They'll go after Jonas this time, I bet (or set things up to look like they've grabbed him -- I still think he's with the Order).
Um . . . what?Ali Zain wrote:And you could argue that Jonas was responsible for Daniel being taken in the first place, he probably suggested the bowling alley Pins and Pints, and then said the name of the bowling alley on a video, then showed daniel going out to get some ladies which would tell Opaphid what night to grab him since they knew where to go, but what really pushed me off the Jonas is good wagon is when he jumped into that cowboys van without thinking twice it was just odd, and in conclusion, the fact that there was a Cowboy order member in that town which didn't look too big that was known by at a bar for being a local really makes Jonas look like his whole geography is untrustworthy and perhaps largely Orderish
Could you please rephrase this post in English? Maybe include some punctuation?

Re: Cell Phones/Jonas Theory
For the record, I don't have a cell phone. But I do know that most people have them, and the kids even have them (for safety, I believe).nobackspacebutton wrote:It is true....most people do. We've never heard of Bree and Daniel using theirs...and now when they are saying they shouldn't be using their phone at all---they've made it quite obvious and keep mentioning that Jonas keeps on using his.impulse wrote:I don't want to kill your theory, but, in real life, do you happen to know someone who doesn't own a cell phone?nobackspacebutton wrote:So far in LG15, cell phones have played a large role...
Tachyon has a cell phone
The Watchers all have cell phones
Etc.
And Jonas has a cell phone too.
Oddly enough, we never heard about him using his cell phone before. Now that him, Bree, and Daniel have left the house---he's been using it ALOT even though all 3 of them agree the Order might be able to track them down that way.
And then I thought about something.
We ALWAYS see the watchers on a cell phone.
Maybe Jonas really IS just babysitting Bree?
They never mentioned him using it before.
If he was a watcher, it would make sense as to why he is using it so much now that they have left the house. He needs to check in.
But, since they've been at the cabin, when did Bree say that Jonas was using his phone? The only one I remember saying it is Daniel.
I do think Daniel is trustworthy, but he could not be in his right mind.
So, when did Bree say it, please?
And something I think gets overlooked, is that Jonas made sure he has his cellphone too. Op probably had him tracked before that, but Jonas made a point of making sure he had it, which I find suspicious now.Ali Zain wrote:And you could argue that Jonas was responsible for Daniel being taken in the first place, he probably suggested the bowling alley Pins and Pints, and then said the name of the bowling alley on a video, then showed daniel going out to get some ladies which would tell Opaphid what night to grab him since they knew where to go, but what really pushed me off the Jonas is good wagon is when he jumped into that cowboys van without thinking twice it was just odd, and in conclusion, the fact that there was a Cowboy order member in that town which didn't look too big that was known by at a bar for being a local really makes Jonas look like his whole geography is untrustworthy and perhaps largely Orderish

Agreed.
I think she's the safest of the three of them taking a hike alone in regards to Order related things happening.
