So then we have:

CHANWATTNEM | CADENUDENTHRYSTURSE,
What men can't | understand they curse

CABASKETCHSWUR EVISEWNORS.
what curses back | is even worse.

CHAHWATTTEKNEY | BEAEHWHISTTTIN
when they attack the beast within

BEAHEWHISTTOTTU | ABBETHOSSSRIN.
The beast without | absorbs the sin ...because it fits best, imo

DEEHHIYINTRITOT | FANTSREHAME,
Die to inherit thy | father's name

....it's off....

the reason I was still thinking about the "bares" is due to the "shame" in the last line, and the idea that something worse happens according to the first two lines.

absorbing the sin just didn't seem as tragic

on the plus side, either absorbs, bares, or bears all relatively have the same meaning.

"the beast without" HAS the sin.

but yeah I can see the connection between bares and shame

if you consider DanielBeast as the "Beast without", then he is currently bareing (sp?) the "sin". Or Cassie is as well.

So they don't have the sin, they are showing it.

rote works better than tore, imho, because it references a mechanical memorization, usually of language, hence bree's learning of a language for a ceremony?
