ee Cummings

Post by October12Fiasco »

Bree has a poem by ee Cummings on both her MySpace and her YouTube account. Is the poem some kind of clue?

After researching more, I discovered this about ee Cummings :

* The poem Bree has in her profile is untitled, yet she very clearly titles it.

* anyone who lived in a pretty how town was made into a short movie in 1968

* The poem is about a man who lived in a town and was not liked by anybody except for one woman. They were buried together when they died.

Coincidence or not?

If I'm not incorrect, ee cummings never titled any of his works. People often just give them titles (or call them by the first line, more often.)

Very true about the titles.

He never even titled some of the shape poems, yet people still somehow came up with titles for them. Evidently, fans of his had too much imagination, too much time on their hands, and spend far too much time reading into someone else's work.

It's quite sad when people must interpret other people's genius in order to feel good about themselves.

So, anyways, I have spent the last three days on this new LG15 theoiry. This great theory is about Daniel being a communist and Bree's last name really being McCarthy. No one has ever thought of it yet. How brilliant am I? I am so smart.

But seriously.

The poem did jump out at me. But it was on the website from the beginning, perhaps even before The Creators even finished deciding where to take the plot (since they work on our feedback, i.e. Daniel/Bree romance angle).

If that's the case, the poem could just be a marker that shows she is hip, sensitive and moves against the grain. Kinda like good ole ee.

Plus, let's face it... Chicks always did dig Mr. Cummings.
