[Tip] How to make a screen shot

Post by colbertnationgirl »

Screen shots are really easy to get once you know how. Here are instructions for using Window's Paint.

1. Go to the video you want and pause it at the time you want. Press the Print Screen button. (It is to the right of the F12 button.) Go to paint and press edit, then paste.

2. Click this button Image and use the cursor to select the area you want to use.

3. Click on the area and drag it into the top left corner.

4. In the bottom right corner there is a little blue dot. Image You can drag it to make your picture bigger or smaller. In this case, we want to make it smaller.

5. Use the blue dots to line the edge of the picture with the edge of your screen shot.

Save the picture, and your done! :D

(If anyone would like to add something, let me know!)
That was the weirdest display of geekdom that I have ever seen in my entire life.

My laptop, like many others, does not have a "Print Screen" option. Many members have commented that they wish they knew how to grab screencaps so they could post 'clues' they find in the videos. FastStone has a very easy to use, FREE screen capture program that you can download here:
http://www.faststone.org/FSCaptureDetail.htm

It is 100% safe to use - no pop-ups, no ads, no spyware. I use it all the time!
It's ALL connected...

Mac users can use Capture Me.

It will allow you to also select what you're capturing - you can resize the "capture" window to suit the size of the image you want.
