I'm hopelessly behind on everything. Now that I work all day, I guess I gotta get used to missing the good stuff.Cuddlebunni wrote:*pounces Miragey
Happy Lost day! (I almost forgot again! doh!) Ive been in the plot discussion on day talking bout that damn hymnofone myspace thingy. It was quite exciting... brought back CIW memories for a lot of us. But Im glad I peeked her in Off the Cuff, otherwise I may have missed it again tonite. I always think Wednesdays are Tuesdays.
Hope to talk to you all later or tomorrow bout the episode!!
Good thing Lost is on so DAMN LATE that I have no excuse as to missing it...unless I fall asleep.

Be strong Mirage! I know you can persevere - though I know baker's hours can be very nastyMirage wrote: Good thing Lost is on so DAMN LATE that I have no excuse as to missing it...unless I fall asleep.
We shall nonetheless move forward to carve a name for ourselves in the annals of bold insurgency and death-defying derring-do. Once I have a keen blade at my hip and the Jolly Roger is flapping high above me, I believe I will find my true calling.

On a bake house aside, we STILL haven't gotten our damn coffee thingy in. We called them and said, uh, hello, it was supposed to be here MONDAY. And guess what the dude said? "Uhmm...maybe by Friday?" Flipping idiots. Oh, and I'd like to royally smack anyone who thinks they're being clever and/or original by ordering a carrot cake for Easter.

Sorry, double post, but I just HAD to add this little gem of JackHate from TWoP:
Heh.Jack lectures that they have been on the island for six days. They have to stop waiting. They have to start figuring things out. He found fresh water up in the Valley. He will take a crew up there at first light. If they don't want to go, then they should find another way to contribute. Because every man for himself is not going to work. If we can't live together, we are going to die alone. The camera pans over the gathered survivors. They are holding up lighters, swaying, and holding hands. Most are crying. They have giant photos of Jack that they are holding up in the air. They have Saint Jack t-shirts and commemorative beer steins. It's a beautiful sight.

What kind of coffee thingy? Like an espresso machine? As for carrot cake - yeah, everybody orders those at easter (and they all think they're the only ones )Mirage wrote:

I can't think of the exact word--a 4 burner station. *scratches head* I'll prolly remember it at 2:00 this morning. In any case, my aunt basically said, "Gee, I can't sell coffee without a coffee machine, can I?", and they really didn't have anything to say other than appologies.djmadscribbler wrote:What kind of coffee thingy? I dunno, I don't like carrot cake so I might have a prejudice, but a big ol' vanilla/vanilla egg shaped cake works just fine for me. But I DO like cream cheese frosting. I had a chunk of red velvet cake with some of that yesterday. Yum!

Oh man - I love a good red velvet cake. That's probably my favorite cake OF ALL TIME. Seriously. Followed by sour cream chocolate fudge. Oh yeah.Mirage wrote: I had a chunk of red velvet cake with some of that yesterday. Yum!

Bingo!! Johnny, what does our lucky contestant win? We're talking an espresso machine at some point, but only if the coffee part takes off or not. Right now we're spending more money than we're making.
Right now I've been pretty addicted to lemon cake. No frosting or anything...just a nice hunk of citrusy goodness. I haven't gotten to the point in the job where I'm sick of sweets yet...unfortunately.

Don't worry - it will. It may take a little while but I am sure that day you'll go to pick up some scraps (the ones you get when you level and round the cakes?) and you'll realize that if you eat one more crumb of cake you're going to lose your mind! It was at that point I started snaking on cookies insteadMirage wrote:I haven't gotten to the point in the job where I'm sick of sweets yet...unfortunately.

Yup...the best scraps are the edges, I think. They've got some nice crusty goodness to them.
Problem is we got all kinds of pastries and cheesecakes and mousses (meeses?) and whatnot. So I've got tons of shit to go through before I get sick of it all.
So yeah, I need to run. I totally spaced (uhm, posting on here) and forgot to put dinner in the oven. My BF called and asked whats for dinner and I got up to go look in the kitchen and tada! raw drumsticks staring me in the face. Sigh.
Oh well. Happy Lost nite! Next time we have any extra red velvet I'll smush it on my monitor in hopes that it'll reach you.

Last night's episode was...interesting. The whole thing with juliet and the key also really confused me, because I think it'd be kind of pointless to handcuff someone, and then give them the key to unlock themselves. And the fact that she knew Jack and Sayid would still be there was also suspicious. And why weren't Jack and Sayid handcuffed and thrown out into the jungle?
I did really love how the smoke monster was back, though, and how it reacted to the weird sonic fence thing. And I also really enjoyed how Hurley conned Sawyer into being nice. Go Hurley!
But overall, I was left feeling very confused.

Yeah I definently think juli was "left behind" on purpose by her own choice. Im not sure why though. To gain more info on them? Dont they already know all there is to know. Im not sure, but something just didnt add up.
The episode was okay I guess.. But I think we've had enough kate flashbacks.. YES we know she killed her stepdad.. and yes we already knew her mom turned her in. This flashback was not really any different then the previous one. We didnt learn much except that she met up with sawyers girlfriend. The only part of her flashback I enjoyed was the patsy cline tunes (which they played in her previous flashbacks as well)
It was cool to see sawyers girlfriend though.. and OMG Sawyer is a daddy!!! (speaking of, I have to admit I awwwwed at him holding aaron)
I think the Sawyer/Hurley scenes were my fave part of the episode. Ive had enough of Kate.
Next week looks pretty good though. Sayeed torturing Juli for answers perhaps? Yes please!!
