Here's a free online site that converts videos from .flv to a variety of video formats, including .avi, and .mov and even splits out audio for an mp3:
www.vixy.net
Just input the URL of the site you want to convert and click start. When it is done processing, right click the link and save to your hard drive. (not sure what the save procedure is for Macs).

As mentioned in the thread about video conversion, I found a free tool that allows conversion from FLV to other formats (including extracting the audio to .wav or .mp3). The same "wrapper" tool also has a file download utility with a long list of video websites, that allows you to grab videos (I have not tested this feature).

In the case of Revver and YouTube videos, I have found it possible to copy the .flv files directly from my browser cache (temporary internet files) and then view them with a free program, FLV Player 1.3.3 available here:

Another really easy tool w/o downloading any software is using the sites Ripzor and Zamzar.
Ripzor (link above) is a great website to rip videos from FLV supported websites such as YouTube, Google Video, MySpace, Dailymotion, Break.com, iFilm and Putfile. Just click on of the rippers on the right side of the page and fill out the form of what the link is, etc. Then you will be able to download the FLV file. (Remember to add '.flv' to the end of your downloaded file, or else you won't be able to access it.)
Zamzar (link above) is another website that can help with this. Zamzar can convert basically anything to anything. Check the conversion types here. In this case, we would be looking at the FLV video conversion types. You can convert .flv format videos to:
