Because the ommited letters are not there...so...ommission. The braceted letters are there...they just look like they've been corrected. It's written in ink afterall. I've included the mistakes AS mistakes. If anyone lives near hollywood and has a camera...i'll meet with you and we can take detailed pictures.Wilkie wrote:Cu, can you clarify the difference between your representation of letter omissions (e.g. "dominion fr ever") and the bracketed fragments (e.g. "signi[f]ied")? If you added the brackets when transcribing, how did you decide which was a handwriting mistake and which a genuine omission?

I'm guessing, using some common letters that are omitted here, several words we can get out of the anagram would/could be:
Frank
Blog
Dead
Lies
He
Has
That's what my tired brain came up with while I looked at the lettering. Unfortunately, it doesn't really work because some of the key letters are missing (in order to spell Frank, for instance).

Everyone needs to recheck my first post. I have corrected the text and there are many more letters.
We all need to be on the same page.

question now is, is this supposed to point to something we haven't found?
she knows we know about frank's blog (at least the 2 linked to his profile on blogspot)
she knows we know about her second life account (they just found a picture in her church that says "instructions are on the painting frame" where we got this)
Why point us towards what we've already found..

Cu mentions this clue is a week old? Maybe it's not that it doesn't help us, it's just that we were too quick in finding what it was telling us and not quick enough in solving this?gelb9 wrote:That's actually what I was about to post. The Second Life has already been established, obviously as well as the blog. How is this supposed to help us? It doesn't further the story along.

I'm going to hand myself a nice trout and agree with Rick -- after Cu's alterations to the text in the original post, it's now:
f r a n k h a s a b b o g i h a v e a s e c o nd l i f e e
So ... yeah, um, that's some big news, Cassie!

Yeah, but all this was planted on Saturday, and Rev. 3 came out yesterday. I'm thinking she made Rev. 3 to point us to second life because it was taking to long to find the drop/she wasn't sure it would be found. (that explains part of why Rev 3 breaks from her usual style... she had to make it in a hurry, and it had to be easy to crack)
of course, the "instructions are on the painting frame" confuses the issue... maybe we need to be paying attention to the actual passage quoted, as well as the letters missing? It wouldn't be the first time she sent out a puzzle with 2 solutions.

I thought that as well. But in order to figure out the game, in real time, then, we'll have to be much quicker. The drop then was a waste of time since the clues to SL and the blog were given elsewhere. It doesn't make sense to clue us in so blatantly, same clues, different places...there must be more to it. I agree, there has to be something else.
