Ugh how is one to figure out this last name?

Any new info on older pages?

Any ideas on the last one? We are talking about this in the chat.

They couldn't be counting any Z was going to get, she never got the package, and they never even confirmed it was actually sent.

by "Seven down, Twelve to go" makes me think 7 are already destroyed not that the 7th is coming...

Well, I don't know how possible this is, buuuut...

Could we be in need of finding his email address, perhaps?

All of the profiles found thus far have had the last name found.

Maybe we should try working out his email address (obviously, seeing if it is possible to work out his last name at the same time)?

I really think a last name is easier, Traveler's was related to the game, Walter's wasn't it was his "real" last name. But I'm thinking as another side character Jay's will be related to the game somehow. This puzzle now, might be the answer to the search for his last name though.

Of course you are welcome to try to solve for his email, it can't hurt anything could help at this point. and I'm sure someone would probably drop their ideas on things if you do start looking for it.

YESS! it went through! waiting for him to approve now.

Excellent work iMouse.

:smt023

ETA: iMouse found VECTOR as the solution for the YT profile puzzle, which proved correct when entered as his myspace last name.

I googled the "Who I'd Like To Meet" and found this link:

http://cana.userworld.com/cana_harrypotter.html
Sadoul quotes someone named Claude d’Yge at the beginning of his book, who cautions against seeing alchemy as entirely mundane or entirely spiritual, and urges instead to see that “Alchemy is but a symbol used to reveal by analogy the process of achieving ‘Spiritual Realisation’ -- in a word, that man is at once the prime matter and the athanor of the Work -- let them pursue it with all their might.” The “Work” refers to the “Great Work” of alchemy. Even more pointed is this description: “In essence, alchemy has to do with the liberation and transformation of consciousness. But it is a transformation of a very specific kind. One might say that the gold of the alchemists is the body of resurrection,” which is a “divinization” and immortality of self (Smoley and Kinney, 192). Alchemy seeks to make man a god, one who can create and transform by his will, secret knowledge, and magical access to forces.
I tried Vigenere decryptions (with a couple iterations for each) for "Sadoul," "Claudedyge," "Dyge," "Claude," "Alchemists," and "Sorcerers," with no luck. I couldn't get anywhere with the frequency analysis (although Deagol is much better than me at this stuff), which would make sense if the solution needs to be iterated.

I'm a little bit crossed eyed right now, but if it has a repeating vigenere key no greater than 30 letters long, I should be able to get it. Unless it's not english.

Btw, that word/contraction "Z’xu" has to be "I've", right? Just wanna make sure I'm not missing an obvious one.

Welcome to my space. I suppose it is necessary I introduce myself before we can move forward to complete our task. You may call me Jay. I was an intern and eventually a researcher with Walter at the facility. I know as much if not more about the project than he. I’ve known of Walter’s hair brained scheme to dispose of the vials since its inception. From the onset, he wanted me involved, but I did my best to distance myself. I understood the critical nature of his mission, but I also understood the risks, and choose to have no part of it. However now, by virtue of my association with him, I am involved. I am not happy about this, but like you, I have no choice. Make no mistake. Walter knows best. I am here to see the work he has begun with you through to its conclusion. I will soon be in need of your assistance. You will know when it is time.
I started getting the first word, got 'Wmecome' through frequency analysis, fixed it and extended it to 'Welcome to my space.' The key for that bit was 'Eokxrma nt gw xvgrr.' A quick look at the previous solve got me the whole key: eokxrmantgwxvgrrcqfgtbya.
