Bad idea! Hitchhiking is so friggen dangerous nowadays. It's not like the 60s when you could hitch all the way across the country with no problems. And cops are so mean about it. They threaten to lock you up. And call your parents. At two in the morning.

Especially in Cali...that's where most the serial killers are.

Aithne, how long since you've been to Germany?

I have not been there since 1990. We have lived there twice. Once when my father was in the military. And the second time as civilians. The second time is when I lost the ability to comprehend or speak English (which is why my spelling and grammar are sometimes so messed up).

Jo, if you want to live a life of unbelievable stress, hassles, and legal bullshit come here. The pace here is terrible, and anyone I've ever known that came from a country that wasn't poor, hates this place.
