One idea I had about the ribozymes, and pardon me if this has already been mentioned, but what if Bree is like an incubator? With the higher levels of ribozymes and what they can do (synthesize life), perhaps the Order's intention is to use her as a living, breathing Fountain of Youth.
The ceremony might be needed to satisfy whatever deity they worship with a small blood sacrifice, in order to obtain some sort of a blessing, perhaps? It should also be mentioned that a blood sacrifice does not have to be some huge quanity of blood. Simply spilling blood from a small cut or nick will very often do. *nods* It's primarily a symbolic gesture.
After the ceremony, they would then be free to drain the blood periodically (think the amount of blood you would donate to the Red Cross--this would also account for the large amount of iron supplements she was popping), and then use it for transfusions to other Order members, in order to crank up their own ribozyme count, and/or replacing temporarily with the higher ribozymes. Who doesn't want to live forever? *blink* Because we continually "make" blood if some is taken away, they would be able to transfuse from Bree indefinately, as long as they kept her healthy.
Not having been a science major, I'm not sure if they would need to transfuse regularly in order to reap the benefits of the added ribozymes, or if one transfusion would be enough to "take". Regardless, Bree would be milked like a cow. (Now isn't that a charming visual?!)
Blood as a key to youth is a very ancient concept-bathing in the blood of virgins and all that. So passe nowadays with the Rogaine & the Viagra. *g*
Speculating,

Based on the ribozyme theory, and editting something I mentioned on a earlier forum, I now have a new theory. The Order intends to be come, appropriately enough, the new world order, by using the promise of immortality to take over control of the world, and as a result rule the world without people even knowning it. As has mentioned, based on the last video, it does now appear that The Order's goal is to extract Ribozymes from those who have high amounts so that extracting it wouldn't kill them. Ultimately The Order would promise immortality using these ribozymes and offer it to the masses, however only give them a limited amount, an amount that would keep somebody only TEMPORARILY immortal. Then once the effects of the ribozymes wear off with someone afraid to die, these people would be at the complete mercy of The Order so that they get these temporary doses of immortality, and so The Order would control mass people at once with them being at their mercy. However, at the same time, larger amounts of ribozyme doses would go to those that are uncertain about religion, or those would believe that they could not reach heaven living forever. Those people would then join The Hymn of One, ultimately increasing numbers in The Order's population. In time, by this process, The Order would eventually see the world as their puppet, simply by offering the concept of living forever.

I'm not sure i see your reasoning here. Those who think that living forever would take them further away from heaven would get MORE of the very thing that makes them live forever? Wouldn't they shy away from the Order even more, since they think immortality is wrong?ControlledEntropy wrote: However, at the same time, larger amounts of ribozyme doses would go to those that are uncertain about religion, or those would believe that they could not reach heaven living forever. Also, to do this, The Order would have to undermine almost every religion in the world AND convince people that living forever would be great, better then the "heaven" they are promised by "their god."Ultimately The Order would promise immortality using these ribozymes and offer it to the masses, however only give them a limited amount, an amount that would keep somebody only TEMPORARILY immortal. mRNA
If this is true and Bree has a ton of those Siscors was it? Then maybe the Order got ahold of some of Bree's mRNA and have already cloned her. Maybe the Bree that we see in the Hymn of One videos is actually an evil clone of Bree.mRNA is a copy of the DNA code
Just a thought.

I don't think Heaven is an issue for Hymn of One peeps. In one of the weird PSAs Bree did (Be Part of Something & Sing With Me), it's mentioned that Heaven & Eternity are empty promises, or some such thing.
As far as the iron tablets go, I believe they were something she was supposed to be on as part of her regimen as set by the Order or HoO. Even though Dad was trying to reverse whatever the process was, it would still be important for him to maintain a "cover," so as not to look suspicious. Therefore, he would have to also continue with whatever stuff they wanted, just in case someone, maybe Lucy, were to question Bree. "Are you taking your tablets everyday?"
Another direction might be that, rather than the whole Fountain of Youth thing, perhaps, the Order is trying to create some sort of perfect being. Ribozymes can act as "scissors" cutting from the RNA things that are unwanted. Maybe they are trying to create a perfect vehicle for which to embody a God, and the ceremony is where they will invoke this deity down into Bree.
Again with the speculating,

The whole aging theory does not sound too far fetched (especially considering the questions they ask you). But I doubt the blood transfusion unless they manipulate her blood type (or she blood type O), also Bree is not immortal as far as we know.
Maybe they'll use her to create another being who's DNA WILL be the answer to immortal life! lol.
I think they have a better chance with nano technology.
Of course I really like the Bree-clone theory, HaHaHa.

I wasn't saying that HoO really cares about heaven, but those who do would not be easily convinced to give up that experience to live forever..terminallycute wrote:I don't think Heaven is an issue for Hymn of One peeps. it just doesn't make sense to do this. Ribozymes can be artifically synthesized "made to order" in a lab. A person could just figure out the nucleotide sequence in the ribozymes, make their own (on a mass scale), and make a fortune.ControlledEntropy wrote:Based on the ribozyme theory, and editting something I mentioned on a earlier forum, I now have a new theory. There's something more going on here (or the creators didn't really do their research)

A real quick idea. Ribozymes do not live in red blood cells (no nucleus), however they can live in T-cells and possably other types of white blood cells. (A lot of the research on cancer and hiv place ribozymes in these cells). If you were looking for a certain thing in white blood cells would an increase in red blood cells throw your numbers? Hence the reason to use epogen as a cloaking agent. Increasing only the red blood count and throwing the percentage.
I admit i am fuzzy on blood testing but I thought it made enough sense to share.

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."

it would make sense, if they were trying to collect the ribozymes by taking blood (instead of tissue biopsies). But then why are the boxes marked with that infinity symbol in the warehouse? Isn't that the Order symbol?giddeanx wrote:A real quick idea. Ribozymes do not live in red blood cells (no nucleus), however they can live in T-cells and possably other types of white blood cells. There was something on the page with the figure. The one with the box. It said epogen injections ... result ... trait positive -> -> trait negative.Haether wrote: it would make sense, if they were trying to collect the ribozymes by taking blood (instead of tissue biopsies). I wonder if that infinity symbol is actually some resistance group? Maybe there are conflicting parts of the Order/Hymn of One??giddeanx wrote:There was something on the page with the figure. So many more questions, so few few answers.
