I don't think location was a factor, some people from out of state (California) got invites.

but anyway I saw the email on one of the threads which I just hadden't looked at

I wouldn't have gone anyway I guess

I live in the Netherlands aswell. I think if I could, I woulkd have gone. But it had to be close because I'm not gonna risk being send away after having travelled the globe for 4 hours

first you have to take the train to schiphol (for me that's 1,5)
then check in 2 hours before take-off

then it's about 9 to 10 hours flying and then you'll have to go to the right location

4 uur tttttttttsssssssssss echt niet!!!!
