Who's watching the video's?

NikkiB said in one of her last videos that the Order and the HoO don't watch the video's of BDJ. But since they used Julia's videos as a trap, AND they made those creepy video's with Bree, and posted those on lg15.com, revver and youtube, I'm confused!!!!

Is it still save for BDJS to post their videos? Is this some strange thing we just have to live with? Or is this already explaned somewhere else on the forum and I'm just being stupid??

I think we can safely say that the Order has been watching the videos. They knew about Daniel following Lucy and Bree way back in the day, they had Bree make videos to trick him, they had Daniel make a video for Bree after they brainwashed him, Bree sent a message to Lucy by way of video (asking for her to e-mail a location to trade for Daniel), and Alex most obviously knew about the videos.

From an out-of-universe perspective, I would guess it was a comment made probably to try to smooth over the logical error of TAAG posting their videos when they were down in Mexico. In-universe, we can just assume that Nikki was misled.

i think the way this works.. is that the order kind of doesnt "know" how to watch their videos.

but they can post their own.
its almost like.. only the people they want to see them, can see them.
or something like that

actually, yea, its just some stupid thing we have to live with.

Maybe if they believe hard enough, it will come true.

I think they are watching the vids, it would just make sense. But since TAAG never reveals any last names or too much about their locations (except when in Texas), the Order cannot track them down so easily.

TAAG has never utilized the "private transmissions" concept, though (and all their videos before were marked "public"). It actually looks like the concept has made its way out altogether now anyway. The "public"/"private" video thing hasn't been mentioned since "Opening The Box."

The central connection here is Lucy. She knows about the videos.

My guess is that she hasn't shared her knowledge of them with anyone else, as TAAG videos are an information source for her. Why would she want to share it?

Or maybe she was told to be discreet by her superiors, and keep everything covert, as to not alarm the rest of the Order, or have total chaos as the entire Order would search, or she or her superiors or possibly the highest authority in the Order does not want the knowledge of these mistakes known? (wow, that is the longest sentence ever)

Or is she trying to use this whole thing for her or some dissident group within the Order for personal gain?

Lucy is a mystery. There is more to her than what meets the eye.

TAAG = Teen Angst Adventure Gang (Bree and Co.).

Cannon is just what is actually part of the series. FanFic (Fan Fiction, stuff made up by someone who are not the Creators) are not taken fully into account because they are not acknowledged by the Creators as part of the central plot. Spin offs, in other words.
