Spencer: Regarding your decision

Post by EricaCrowley »

Spencer,

Allow me to begin by expressing my regrets about your father’s death. I lost my mother at a young age so I know how painful it can be to lose a parent. From the evidence that has recently come to light it is apparent that there is a possibility that your father’s death was a result of actions taken by members of my religion. If this is true then please accept my apology.

I believe your father became an unwilling participant in a plan to prevent Bree from participating in a religious ceremony that is very important to her and the members of our faith. If members of the Order did in fact take action against your father then I have reason to believe that they would not hesitate to put your life in danger.

It is clear that from an ethical stand point you should not be helping Daniel and Jonas to create a serum to be used on a teenage girl against her will. There is also the more practical matter of your personal safety. Please consider my words of friendship and advice.

Listen to her, Spencer. It would be ill advised for you to aid Jonas and Daniel. It would be best for you to tell them that you simply can't help them.

I realllllllyyyyyy don't want to get mixed up in this so i'm just going to say this and leave.

What makes you think Bree doesn't want this serum? She knows nothing about it, hasn't been informed of it, has no idea what the results will be, what it does, if it hurts, etc. Sure, she wants to be with the Hymn of One, I get that. But will this serum interfer with that? I'm sure it won't.

Unless the Hymn of One only wants her for whatever 'trait' this serum will counteract. Then I can see some problems. But then again, if that's the case, well it sounds like the Hymn of One is using Bree isn't it?

Either way, don't speak for Bree. Until I see a video from her saying 'Don't come near me with any serum!' I will not believe she either wants it or doesn't want it.

Oh, one last bit. Everyone so far has talked of this serum in the sense that it will 'help' Bree. Does that sound like a bad thing?
The names Julie.

Bree does not need help. She has found her Song. And this... "serum"... The fact that Jonas and Daniel are trying to get Spencer Gilman to help them create it, proves they are not her friends. This is why she has left them. They wish to alter her body chemistry to "help her". Why would she want her DNA to be changed. She has come to love what she is. She has found her Song. Why would she ever want that changed?

The only people who have spoken in support of performing medical tests on Bree without her mother’s consent or her own consent are supporters of the resistance. They have no understanding of our religion or the ceremony. Spencer has an ethical duty not to get involved in this matter. Furthermore he has a moral duty to not interfere in Bree’s right to practice her religion without persecution.

Also I don’t want to sound petty but since you’ve come on the scene Victor has cleared all the Neutrogena products out of my bathroom. That means I am forced to use Clinique.

Hi Spence,

I said right from the beginning that there was some danger. And more and more, this is becoming obvious...

Anyway, I guess what we all want from you is just that you help us to make sense of the last will of your father. As these notes are the last that we, which includes you, have left from him, I guess by having a look at them, you are fullfilling one of his last wishes. I am very glad that you don`t deny it to the man you seem to have loved so much, despite all the pain the memories cause. He would have wanted you to help us out with the stuff - you already said so.

I don`t know how this is going to end. If your father was involved in making a serum to free Bree, of course, Bree has to be asked whether she wants to be freed or not. We MUST differ from the HoO in that way - we won`t force Bree into anything she does not want from her whole heart. Remember, Spence, we are the protectors of the free mind;-), we are the "light side of the force";-).

In contrast to Erica, I think your father has been acting out of free will because of the friendship with Drew Avery. So, to help us in finding out what your father wanted to do is just to fulfill his will.

I am happy that you don`t deny that to the man you seem to have had such a great relationship with.

Although, I must admit that I sometimes fear for your life. Stay save and well, Spence, will you?

Yours

Spencer,

After watching "Mission Alpha", I believe it is my duty to encourage you to help TAAG. I really don't think The Order has ever been safer than it is at this moment. Thank you Spencer.
