we've known and/or used the following:

ember, ashes, tempest, rabbit, maelstrom, luna, vesta, lilac, kitty-poo, citrine, heba, sushi, wasabi, pumpkin, clyde, and cricket.

my two new ones don't have names yet. my little boy insists that his cat's name is "mine," though. lol.

Those are some cutely unique names! I especially love Sushi and Wasabi...although it makes me hungry. :o

You know that moment where you just want to grab a pair of scissors and run away with them?

I'm trying to convince the family to name our new kittens Sushi and Wasabi.

But, the names make me hungry, too. And the poor things are already so cute and bite-sized ...

so far they are named "mama's kitty cat" and "mine," per my son.

If you keep calling them that, eventually they'll stick. My sis and her hubby called their cat Girly-Girl while they were thinking of a name. And then just never thought of a name. So Girly-girl she is and has been for 6 years.
It's official!! I'm getting married September 28, 2007!!

well she is kinds lazy, but so cute.

OK, well maybe she is not lazy, but she loves to watch poeple on the computer and sit in the lap of anyone to be loved on.

we seriously thought about naming her IRC, Internet Relay Cat - but Jason said that he just couldn't do that.

I suggested the name "dog" to my sister when she was trying to name her cat. She decided to name it Zoe. Where's the irony in that?

Growing up, we had a poodle named "Chien".

Name one cat Ping and the other cat Pong. :D

When I read this, I had to laugh. I have a dog whose name is "Kitty". He was given to the person I got him from. The only way he will answer is if you call out "kitty kitty" the way you call for a cat. I assume the first owner must have had cats. I also have a small terrier mix whose name is Cujo (also named before I got him), but thats another story

There were some hillbillies that used to live near my dad's office. Their dog would always come by and beg his secretaries for food..(one of them later ended up taking the dog..it was abused and always starving)Anyway, the dog's name was D.O.G. ...so dogs named dog and cats named cat just remind me of those redneck morons and their poor, abused dog. Don't name it cat...by the way, you have it now right? What did you name it?
Me and my key...same as it ever was.
