"Dormant" is the word I would use.

In one of his messages to me Jay talked about how hard it was to keep up with things. My guess is that other things in his life are taking a higher priority for a bit so that when the next puzzle drops, he can give it his undivided attention. I know I prefer sporadic high quality to constant mediocrity.

I do wish we could hear from the man himself, if not a firm date for the next event, an assurance that there is a next event.

Very much in character, but I took it to be a little OOC 'wink' as well:
On June 1, 2007 Jay via YouTube wrote: My apologies for not responding to you sooner. The demands of this project are sometimes more than I can juggle, and currently, I don't have a trusted assistant. I'm getting on in years you know, and I don't move quite as fast as I used to. While time is of the essence in completing our work, thoroughness is more important than velocity.

OOG/OOC ... this is from ME.

Nothing irks me more than hearing people over and over again posting that the game is DEAD.

Dead...hacked... "game jacked", whatever.

I understand patience is wearing thin with -some- people, but not with everyone involved. Was it, or was it not said, that something may be happening by mid/end of summer? Nothing is going to move this game any faster than the intended pace set by the PM, especially when typically, many people take off on vacations this time of year. In my opinion, it would be best to hold off the game until most of the players are here... ready and willing to continue. Everyone has worked together as a team to this point... it would be hard to see it progress without everyone's help.

I've enjoyed playing this game, and the fact that I've been allowed to be a part of it makes me appreciate it even more. Grant it, I SUCK at the puzzles (thanks for trying to teach me some basics though, Lum!), but that doesn't mean I can't contribute small pieces of information in whatever way, shape, or form that I can. Same goes for the next guy.

What I've admired the most about Facility J is that it makes you think. No one holds your hand along the way, and pure intellect prevails. It's intriguing, it's mystifying, and for any other reason, it hits close to home.

Why do I think the game has fallen quiet? There is such a talented and gifted bunch following this game, able to crack apart the puzzles in no time whatsoever. I think we are actually getting ahead of the game, moving too fast, and need to slow down ("chillax"... chill, relax).

What exactly do we need to "catch up" to? I don't know. Maybe the PM, like mentioned earlier, is on vacation, or taking time to formulate what will happen next in the game. Maybe we are ahead of the actual LG15 plot line. You can't say FacilityJ isn't involved in some small way with the current LG15 plot line. Even though we may not follow that plot line 100%, this game is still a unique and fascinating entity that compliments it.

All I'm saying is... give it time. Have patience, and enjoy the rest of the summer. School begins before you know it.

Seriously, I was just asking.

No. 1: I'm not in school. I graduated from university years ago.
No. 2: I'm not in the U.S. It's winter here.

:D

I am patient, but it's been ages with no communication... so I wanted to find out whether I'd missed something (which I had, in a small way), and what everyone's opinions were as to its status.
Yeah, you'd better run!

Now Code Yellow...just posted to the Bebo thread...and, yeah, personally I'd say there's every indication it's FJ canon, but that we shouldn't neglect checking all other previous resources as well...
