Hello Prof. Arscott,
I understand that you have asked a student of yours, Clara Stokes, to
produce a thesis project on the tragedy that struck Nacogdoches this
spring. As I'm sure you know, Maddison had a group of people
interacting with her online constantly in the weeks leading up to her
murder. While we can't know the impact it must have had on those in
the SFASU community, please know that watching events unfold as they
did was a gut-wrenching experience for us all. I wish we could have
done something more, something sooner, anything to save her.
Is a particular reason you chose Clara to make this film? It seems
that her interviewing technique is somewhat brusque for such a
sensitive subject.

Look everyone, we have separate agendas here, I know. We want answers about Maddy, Clara wants to make her documentary and graduate. Now we can keep being at odds with each other here and eventually neither one of us will get what we want. Or we can try to find some common ground, and maybe we can end up helping each other instead of just getting pissed off.

As a community, we appreciate that we have the opportunity to help you in any way we can. Unfortunately, you are making it VERY difficult for us. You ask for help. We offer to help. You give us NO information. You give us NO directions. You aske us NO questions. Than you say we are not helping. What the hell are we supposed to do.
I realize that this project was not your own idea. I realize that you feel you have been dumped into a world of people who you think are crazy. I realize that you are frustrated with us.

Your senior thesis SHOULD be very important to you! Why are you not putting in the footwork? It really seems like your not to me, and to many others. Do you even want to graduate? I think you do, or you wouldnt still be persuing this story. Trying to contact your advisor is not "tattleing". (btw-are you about 7 years old?) Contacting your professor is us ATTEMPTING to HELP YOU. You have not given us any avenues to do so, so we are finding our own. If you would like to act like an adult about this project of yours, and about a very tragic situation, than I suggest you get serious. Read the forum. Do the footwork. Stop acting like a child. Stop crying that we are not helping when you have given us no avenue's to do so. This is YOUR project. We are just research material for you. So DO YOUR RESEARCH. Your project is on the reaction to Maddison's death. You are getting your reaction right now. THIS IS your thesis. I am befuddeled as to how you do not see that.
What is it you need US to do? Tell us and we will help.
We are trying to do so despite your lack of direction. Without which, we have followed our only leads. You don't like it, than do something about it.
If you continue to isolate us by acting like a spoiled child and calling everyone names, you know we will still help you. ONLY because we all loved Maddison. But that doesnt mean you can treat us like shit. So stop it. We don't really care if you graduate. And we will continue to not care if you continue to treat us like shit. Your only option is to work with us. So just do it.

exactly ...we're just in the dark as you are. We failed her, we're stuck on the puzzels. We're lost and frustrated as well.

I'm shooting interviews. I'm posting them so you can see them. Eventually, I'll probably include you all in the project.
I may not know what I'm doing, and I don't think I can be blamed for not understanding this story . . . as you all tell it. It doesn't make sense. It doesn't. Right?
I know it doesn't help that I blink into stare-mode when I read through these forums. I don't know who any of you are. I don't understand any of the back story. I've gone through the summary thread 900 times in this forum. I do that thing when you read the same sentence over and over again.
I can't get my head around it. I can't. I'm sorry. It's too much.
And I don't even want to start looking into the warpylol video or the explanations of Frady's pidgeon interactions.
I'm sorry. I don't get it, and I don't like it that you contacted my professor. So what. I'm not being a bitch. I think - you in my position would react similarly.
