Bree,
I just finished watching your "I lied to Daniel" video. I'm a little confused about the ceremony. I understand that it hasn't happened yet, but I'm dwelling on your comments regarding the people who are preparing you for the ritual. Why did they want you to lie to Daniel? Why did they photograph him? Couldn't they just have approached him and ask him to leave? Why won't they tell you details of the ceremony... where it is, when it is, what is going to happen?
After reflecting on these questions I remembered something I read about 'free will'. Once I found it, I wanted to share it with you. It's a quote from Crowley's work regarding the general process of magick:
"One must find out for oneself, and make sure beyond doubt, "who" one is, "what" one is, "why" one is...Being thus conscious of the proper course to pursue, the next thing is to understand the conditions necessary to following it out. After that, one must eliminate from oneself every element alien or hostile to success, and develop those parts of oneself which are specially needed to control the aforesaid conditions."
As you know, this is a reference for discovering ones True Will.
I think is the people helping you prepare for the ritual are consumed with 'eliminating alien elements'. Yet, they refuse to explain the conditions of the ritual and help you understand why they are necessary for your personal journey - to provide the dramatic change that will help you know your True Will - which, after all, is the only reason to participate in any ceremony.
So, I think it's really not an issue of trust, but rather other peoples self interests being imposed upon you. The result of their behavior could detour you from your own Great Work.
I hope your conversation with Daniel goes well.
Regards.
Just some thoughts, Bree.

Bree, this friend's advice is very sound. I'd reread this message a couple of times and let it sink in. You're a smart young woman, capable of seeing the logic here.dVant wrote:Bree,
