I'll just be happy no matter what 'cause I just luv the vidsShastacat2 wrote:ok, so just a theory out there, but maybe Bree's parents were hoping that Daniel would not be such a gentleman? I could see the purity vow totally being broken as a way for her to get kicked from the ceremony.

He did look pretty adorable asleep on the couch. Kinda made you want her to snuggle up to him, maybe kiss his cheek for being such a gentleman to take the couch.
Ugh, I hate when I sleep somewhere that's too short for me. Just last weekend had to crash at a friend's place (too many lemon drops... don't ask!) and their couch was so tiny. I'm not a tall girl (5'7") and I was really cramped. Makes you wake up in a pretty bad mood.
At least she remembered to pack her make-up, wouldn't want the beast seeing what you look like without the liner and mascara!

Hey, spacie, I'm going to propose a "C": the parents don't believe in the cops.spaciegirl wrote:Well, if they're [the parents are] involved in this "religion", and they're not calling the cops, there's probably a reason for that. I am assuming that calling the police would be futile because either: A. The police are no match for this group. or B. The group has control/influence over the police in some way...maybe it's a mix of A and B.
I was reading Crowley's translation of the Tao Te Ching and found a section called "Isolation." That section talks about how the people of a community should act, and says: "They should deem their food sweet, their clothes beautiful, their houses homes, their customs delightful. There should be another state within view, so that its fowls and dogs should be heard; yet to old age, even to death, the people should hold no traffic with it."
I read "state" in that quotation as meaning "government" or "type of community." It looks to me like the writer (who Crowley thinks is a great mystic) is recommending that people in the enlightened community stay near other communities, but not interact with them.
That theory sounds consistent with the way the community Gemma described behaved, and with the way Bree's own parents have behaved up until now. So it would make sense that when they're in trouble, they (the 'rents) would "hold no traffic with" the police who are not part of their own community.

I know right what you're talking about, but at 5'6" I'm anything but tall. When Zach and I went camping he was too tall for the tent... he's tall. So it led to him sleeping diagonal and me being left with the corner of the tent...awe well.rachelalexis wrote:Ugh, I hate when I sleep somewhere that's too short for me.
