What do you do for the airline Jewely? I'm mainly just interested in whether people who aren't pilots or stewards get to fly free.

Hey there.. I am not playing... but I would feel really bad if I was the only person this close to Monterey/Santa Cruz and I didn't help out... I don't check this thread a whole lot.. but you can always PM me if the drop is in my area... would I need to video tape it?

Its dark, damp, possible rain. Sounds like another Saturday night drive for me :)

I'd be more than happy to step aside for someone closer, but worse comes to worse (and its not in San Fran city) I'll see what I can do.

I hate driving in the city.

Ladron's rules for recovering a drop:

1. TAKE OFF YOUR HAT WHEN YOU ARRIVE

2. Be prepared to get dirty

3. Its never going to be a complicated hiding spot

4. If someone arrives and walks right at you, its probably someone from the forums

I live right a long the coast, actually. About a 15 minute walk to the beach.

But I also live in Washington and I doubt it will be there.

A note for #4. If you are not actively looking for the drop and someone is walking towards you you can test them by screaming "And as such you shall face our wrath". This will make anyone who is not from the forums and looking to rob you decide that you are an insane person and probably have no money.

I figure this is good a place as any to lay down some actual helpful info:

1. You have to have something that records video. A video of the drop has to be made, so ppl don't question you later.

2. Its best to take pics of everything at the scene, to show you got it right there and nothing is missing.

3. If you can avoid it, don't go alone. Nevermind having someone confirm your version of events, you are going out in the dark (most times). Not a good idea to be alone.

4. Expect tons of questions, up to a good 48 hrs after you get it. Everyone will want to know every detail, so pay attention.

5. Take some time off the next day. Depending on how late you get there, and how late you get back home, you'll want some time. Everyone will understand. Sleep. Eat. Don't go straight to the chat or forums after.

That's all I can think of right now, except also TAKE A CELL PHONE. That's just common sense.
