Back Door Reference

Post by robofridge »

In her past mysteries revealed, she talks about her parents pulling her out of school because of the front/back door thing.

Now, I have googled this every way I can think of and I can't come up with anything significant.

And it's driving me friggen mad!

I've done religous customs, occult customs, Thelema, Aleister, all sorts. All coupled with back door.

And nada.

Is this not driving anyone else insane?

Oh, and be careful how you google. You would not believe some of the things that come up with back door!

Maybe it's not significant.

The pronunciation of the word 'wheat' for one thing, unless I'm mistaken it is only pronounced 'whet' in good old NZ
And what are the words that are unheard while the music is played at the end? Anybody really good at lipreading?

That one is too easy.
It's a simple reference to The Matrix.
Should be able to see it even if you didn't ever watch 'The Animatrix' which was actually in between two of the main Matrix films and covers it in detail.

I dunno.

She's talking about something that happened when she was 8. Has the Matrix really been around that long?

And would her parents have seen it?

Based on Bree being 15 still now we can approximately see what year these things happened.
*Moved to NZ when she was 8. (1999)
*Lived in a commune near a really small town.
*Went to public school.
*Visited AU when she was 10. (2001)
*Moved to England when she was 12 (2003)
*Moved to the US after 2 years (2005)

The first The Matrix was first released early in 1999

perhaps her parents, especially her father, was someone who wanted tight control over bree.

it could be the metaphor of stopping her leaving by the backdoor as and when she wants could capture another meaning of them wanting her to remain in their religion with no way out. not even a back door route.

her father wanted to instill the teaching that there is no way out of anything in her life, thus she was pulled from that school and homeschooled from then on, along with her religion and stuff.

no way out. could be pretty psychotic stuff here.
