Watchers are good; Jonas is OpAphid; Gemma is the Order
I have to leave soon and will be back tonight, so I'll make this as quick as I can.
My guess:
Watchers are good.
1. Gemma doesn't say they're the Order in "A Watcher." She says that's a possibility OR that "a modern version of them [Knights of the Round Table]." The "modern version" thing is rushed in the video, as if she wants you to miss it, and I didn't notice it until I read the transcript.
2. Presumably, they knew where Bree and Daniel were for days. Yet they did nothing. They're "watchers," and not "taker-awayers." They didn't take them when they had the chance. I assume that's not what they want to do, then.
Jonas is OpAphid
1. I don't buy OpAphid is the Order or that they're Watchers. I can't imagine those characters sitting around editing videos. What purpose?
2. Jonas has editing equipment and lots of free time. Has the technical ability to make the videos.
3. Jonas has the motivation. He wants company. He's obsessed. He doesn't need the money, but he wants them to run out of money so they'll stay with him.
4. He, as OpAphid, would be using the Watcher symbol in the video to mislead us and possibly scare people into thinking they need to leave the hotel.
Gemma is the Order
1. This is the weakest of my guesses.
2. Gemma would be trying to convince Bree and Daniel that Watchers are bad. I think it's impossible for Gemma to have made out the Watcher symbol on the hand from that one video.
3. She certainly has the background that would make it possible.
4. Problem: But then why wouldn't she want Bree to stay with Jonas? That makes this possibility problemmatic.
Notes:
1. Remember, the guy who was there taking away Bree's parents was a Deacon, not a Watcher, according to what Bree thought.
2. Had they not ditched the Watcher, would OpAphid been able to break in and steal stuff?
3. Did Bree's parents call the Watchers and have them watch over Bree? They certainly took the step of hiding stuff in P Monkey.
4. Or do the Watchers simply have something against the Order, and this is simply a side-project? This could explain IF (and that is an if) it's true that the person that was at the Ceremony was a Watcher. I doubt this, though. And by the way, who wears sunglasses at night?
5. More stuff I'll address another time. I've got to go. But I'll just point out that if one of these is wrong, the others can be right independently.

Re: Watchers are good; Jonas is OpAphid; Gemma is the Order
I think that the "why would anyone bother doing this if they're a huge organization?" is more so a suspension of belief than anything else. I know that the creators have said that you don't need to watch OpAphid in order to enjoy LG15, but there's another character named Tachyon who actually infiltrated OpAphid's organization, which means that unless Jonas is leaving the drops himself, and has a split personality disorder (or is really trying to be creative), OpAphid is, indeed, part of the order. Also, since that's the case, her use of the watcher symbols and constant references to watches ("Who watches the watchers", etc), that Jonas is most likely NOT OpAphid, although he may be linked to the Order in some way, and thus a bad guy.EliCash wrote:Jonas is OpAphid

and I was thinking - maybe someone who *does* want to hurt Bree is responsible for all this?Kasdeja wrote:Maybe they ransacked the room to look for any type of device planted by those that would like to hurt Bree...
maybe the watchers came in time, kicking them out of the room?
maybe the mess just happened during a fight?

As for Gemma being part of the Order...
Could be...she seems to be trying to protect Bree by making her think the watchers are bad and by supporting her...but really she hasn't done anything at all to actually help her situation. Gemma might make her think the watchers are bad when actually the watchers are good and they are "watching" for her protection, maybe? And she might not want her to trust jonas because she doesn't know where he is and if bree goes there, she will be safe?

Those op videos are something else. That aside, I also thought that the "watchers" were probually something like a knight as well, but I also thought that they could be the informants of the Order. They can't take action, only say what they know.
I really can't stand Gemma at all. Bad Actress aside, it's the way she says things. She seems way too fake.
Jonas, he seems really nice, but too nice? Offering this girl a place to stay as well as money? Seems a bit too...something at least. I don't "trust" him, his story was sweet, and he is gorgeous, but he isn't "trust" worthy.
Daniel...poor Daniel...imagine getting involved in this. He may want to return, but he has to know that if he does he is going to get taken. Not only did he break and enter into somone's home, but he is kinda kidnapping a minor. He has to be at least 18 in order to get a motel room, and come on, Bree isn't 18 yet (or is she...hard to tell)
Just some thoughts.
