OK, I've been here a little while so most of you (from CiW anyhow) already know me, but here I go... I'm Wintermute ('mute for short)/male/36/married from Ohio. Old-school geek just discovering ARGs. I got hooked on the first CiW video, and now my wife accuses Cassie of being "the other woman." Anything else, just ask :)

It's so nice to meet everyone (however informally it is).

Welcome, welcome, welcome!

Until now, I've been too lazy to talk about myself.. or too wrapped up in thoughts of LG15, DB, and CiW. But I'm bored and I have a lot of homework, none of which I am looking forward to, so I will waste some time here.

I'm Loretta. I'm a senior in High School. I'm 17. I'm from New York. I like to read and write. I LOVE analysis (probably partial reasoning for my excessive interest in this series). I intend to major in Elementary-level Special Education in college next year. I love working with all children, but am most passionate about handicapped ones. I'm ambitious and loyal. I'm a little crazy. I like my music LOUD. I'm one of those listener-people. If you need to vent your heart out, I'm always a good choice of audience. I listen and am told to have good feedback, and I keep whatever anyone tells me to myself. I believe in defending friends, and if you befriend me, you can always count on me being on your side if someone does you wrong. That's pretty much me.

Oh, and I also like books and movies about crazy people.
 ...Not sure why.....

Ok. finally ill post a brief description about myself.

quick overview of me:
I am such a wierdo. I play DDR, watch anime, read manga, listen to punk music, trance, 80's, techno, rock, and much more. I love to rave. and i roadie for a ska band called synthetic elements.

longer overview:
Well, my name is Asura. I am 20 years old, and I have the most amazing daughter ever. She is almost 13 months old. She is my life, and I dont know what I would do without her. I work at Target, and am trying really hard to get back into school.I want to double major in musical theatre and performing arts with a double minor in music history, theory, and composition, and a doctorine in teaching. Someday I hope to be on Broadway, And I hope to open up my own childrens theatre company. If all that falls through, I want to teach music to college level students.

Hello!

My name is Debbie (aka dlruss0216). I am the "old hag" of the board at 40 years old...lol.

I'm a Mom to 6 year old twins, Rylee and Wyatt.

I work from home which affords me a lot of time to screw around on the internet, and this board is where I've been spending most of my time lately.

I joined about a week before LG15 was outted to the public.

I enjoy reading (love trashy novels), playing cards, Happy Hour :), and spending time with my Non-Human brood which consists of two 10 year old Jack Russells, a 6 month old Chihuahua and a year old Albino Cockatiel named Nieve (Spanish for Snow).

xoxo

Question...I've seen a few people around here (this thread and others) post a word "emo". What's that?

Emo! Heh... It's basically a 'culture' of sorts spawned from the music described as emo. Sorta how people can be 'punk'.

Emo music is influenced by hardcore but epitomized by loud/soft dynamics, intricate song structures, and very emotionally stark lyrics. Very heart-on-your-sleeve.

Emo people are often the quieter crowd who like black-rimmed glasses, decent clothes, and such. That's all my interpretation anyway!

Wiki has everything! Heh... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emo_%28slang%29

Sure! This site has a lot of good info about the music and some links:
http://www.fourfa.com/

Or, if I may suggest, go to Pandora.com and set up a "radio station" based on emo bands like Mineral, Sunny Day Real Estate, Juliana theory, Get Up Kids... that kind of thing. It will play other bands that fit into that area!

That's a great site, by the way, for people looking to find new music: pandora.com
