edit- Happy Valentine's Day, you stupid fu*kers!!!

Holy f**k! I just snorted from laughing so hard from that description...I had to read it out loud to my husband so he could understand why I was laughing so hard. OMG.....that is one of the most hilarious and entertaining and sad things I've read in a long time. I seriously do not know if I should cry or laugh so I'm doing a little bit of both! How if the f**k you going to survive tomorrow? What can I send you? Geez.....you just need to find a really good bottle of liquor and a man on demand to get fucked in every way possible for the next 3 days.....seriously. I love you Spacie! Just keep me in mind in your day of hell but I will sooooo look forward to hearing about a day in the life of Spacie on Valentine's Day! Peace Out! :D

Um . . . what's gay about this? :-s Mostly all I see is stories about Anna Nicole.

I don't think they're playing along with it nearly as much as they did before the Iraq war. His Highness Bush was interviewed on NPR last week, and Steve Inskeep was basically grilling him about how nothing he says about Iran is consistent -- we don't plan to go to war vs. we're keeping all our options open. Bush was getting pissy -- it was clear that he's not used to people challenging him.

Honey, you should be grateful for him. My GF told me today -- on the incredibly crowded subway -- that I wasn't getting anything from her for V-Day. Where holidays and gifts are concerned, she totally sucks. I should tell you the story of my alleged "Christmas gift" sometime.

That's actually one of the reasons I came to this thread tonight -- to whine and complain about her complete lack of romanticism. Not to mention her lack of interest in sex. She says she's too fat and she hates her body and it makes her completely uninterested in anything physical.

This V-Day is going to suck eggs. I'd almost rather be single.

Hey, Ziola . . . what are you doing Wednesday night? :smt047

And spacie. I'd totally buy cards from you. For that matter, I'd buy cards from you too, Luv2.
Kasdeja wrote:It sucks. I also sucks when your company would rather people risk the crap going on outside right now than close...I mean, if every news source is saying to not go out if you don't have to...well, I shouldn't have to drive to work. Bastards.
That sucketh indeed, Kas.

The gummint closed down at 2 pm today, so I got to go home. Theoretically. It took my GF (who also works for the gummint) till 3:20 pm to get to the Starbucks by the subway station to meet me. And then we had to let three or four trains go by because they were so crowded we couldn't get on -- an hour and a half after everybody got let off from work. Ah, life in DC is lovely. We didn't get home till 4:15-4:30 or so (I don't know exactly, because I was out shoveling the walk).

Enough for this post -- it's already too goddamn long.

Lass,
They changed the page, it was pictures of a Heatherette fashion show with guys dressed up in wizard of oz inspired costumes.

Seymour Hersh wrote a story last summer about the Bush administrations plans to go to war against Iran in 2007, and how they gave Israel the green light to attack Lebanon as a prelude to going after Iran. Now we see it happening before our eyes, it's so obviously pre planned. and the press, at least the main stream press seem to be playing dumb and taking everything the President says as fact. I hope you are right and he is prevented from following thru.

Spacie,
I sympathize with you, it sounds horrible, I hope this doesn't traumatize you so can never enjoy Valentines day again. :(

Awww, my valentine's present was my hubby digging out the driveway and taking me to work. He works nights, usually...well, not last night...so for him to get up at 530 to do that is pretty sweet. Flower free!

You :D

(my bf sucks at this V-day thing as well, and gets irrationally irritated if I turn him down for sex. I was completely exhausted last night, actually fell asleep on the couch. He wakes me up to go too bed and proceeds to paw at me in his drunken stupor. Can we say, not interested? And when I nicely said "honey, can't we just cuddly tonight? I'm really tired" he got all pissy. Jackass)

I hate when they are drunk and pawing. A drunk guy just isn't the most attractive, especially when you are sleepy! Why can't they understand that? :smt009 :smt017

Rob.....I'm sorry about your gf. It's not fun to be with someone who is ALWAYS down on themselves. It is physically exhausting trying to convince them otherwise, and it's a losing battle.

Kas.....excellent description of V-Day. My husband is very sweet, romantic, etc. I am super, super, super lucky cuz I've had the opposite and DREADED this day before he came along all those years ago.

gotta get my son out of his bath....brb!

Honey, you are so on. Let's have a hot date and then come back to my place. (I'll get rid of the GF.) Fire in the fireplace, candles, flowers -- oops, sorry, spacie; maybe we'll skip the flowers -- and a nice gourmet dinner. And I promise I won't paw at you drunkenly. (I'll be totally sober.)

I think spacie and the other posters to this thread should suggest what we each should wear on this date. Preferably with illustrations.

And which husband might that be? Might it be . . . this one?
