That's a good point. I liked the idea too but it's a bit flawed.. though maybe Lucy was forced to run away with her family and she WANTED to be a part of the ceremony. So now that she's older and her parents don't control her life, she can help girls do what she never got to.

Either way I think we'll definitly find more about Lucy. She's too important to end with no backstory.

That sounds like a fair possibility to me too. I hope we do find out more about her. As of now I don't think we've ever even heard her voice. (Except from very far away)

Oh, Gemma is implying that she knew a girl just like Bree, and that after the ceremony the family was basically abducted or killed, and that they were so changed by the event that their letters were very different, or more likely, "they" tried to trick the COMMUNITY (see, I don't think its the community, its the "they": she didn't recognize people from the community, her parents "aren't in the Order of Denderah") to believe that the family was still alive and thriving, while they were abducted or dead. That's what Gemma is implying. And of course she's also implying that something like that could happen to Bree.

All right, so maybe not killed. The Cassie and Lucy ideas are good ones. Who is Lucy, anyway? Personally, though, I don't think Cassie is as big of a deal as a lot people think she is. I think she was a one-time literary device -- this is the kind of person that Bree is. And she did disappear, but not 12 years ago.

Well..since you want to label and judge all Americans as being "spoiled brats", I think we should all judge you by this genius comment you've made. I think it really says a lot about you.

Sloppy editing of quotes would be my guess. Someone probably accidentally erased more than they should have.

Off topic, but I can relate to Kas's icon. I got the chicken pox right after school ended this year and I'm 20!! I definitly thought I was going to die.

Once a person has had chickenpox, they will have immunity to the disease for the rest of their life. However, the virus may return later in life as shingles.

A person who has active shingles can infect others with chickenpox, but cannot give shingles to someone else.

*winces* Shingles is vewy painful. I wouldn't suggest, um, going to hang out with a friend that has it.

Pardon my lack of tact, but I though shingles were on your butt. I don't know why I think that...I have no idea. Is that wrong?
