Sorry, but many of us were in the same boat once...in this very forum...and we didn't get like that. It's very disrespectful. Most of us 'noobs' have been here since day one.
oh I'm not justifying their behavior, but if they want to be snobs, there's not much we can do about it. So I'm just not going to let it get to me.

I'm not so much letting it get to me as I was at first. I just think there's no way to tie OpAphid in like the creatatrons want. One step into their area makes you just walk out and say forget it.

You are so right......most of the posts here directed noobs to the information they were looking for and generally made them feel welcome from my experience. I'd think they'd (OpAphid) be happy to share information about something they are passionate about.

Let's not rush to judgement. I think all they're saying is they are concerned about people jumping into the forums asking a bunch of questions and starting new threads that have already been answered. We go through that here too.
There's a sticky at the top of each OpAphid related section that will bring everyone pretty much up tp speed. Their concern is that people won't bother reading.

So, anyway, about THE VIDEO, I'm wondering if subtle alphabetic sign language is going to become an on-screen code. Same with boy scout signals.
I'm thinking, too, that Daniel's irritation does, as someone speculated, have to do with Bree's unwillingness to talk about her "community." I mean, come on, it's time to trust your best friend!

Okay, not sure if anyone cares, but I've decided to dig into the hebrew part for fun...
my first time.
It's one word that says "Zaharinel" or "Zaharinal", and is written in a really weird way 'cause there's a letter in the middle that you only use at the end of words, which makes it "Zaharin-El". "El" in hebrew is a God (not any specific God, just that word - "a God"), and as for "Zaharin"... it's a word I've never heard, and sounds like "shining".
turns out it's a very ancient Hebrew word (long before Hebrew *was* Hebrew).
When I googled it, I found some references to the "Zohar" book, which is a Jewish book that is told to have many wise secrets that only the smartest, oldest people know of.
Wiki found nothing of it, and I couldn't read any of the documents Goggled brought. ancient Hebrew.
Don't think anyone I know can read it either.
That's really interesting - is there any chance that this post means anything?

Oh come on now. No one's being snobby or trying to make the "noobs" (read: new to OPAPHID ONLY) feel unwelcome on purpose. If you're getting that impression well I'm guess I'm going to have to apologise on their behalf.
I've only counted 6 people in these forums who aren't taking the merge as some sort of personal attack.
Anyway, if you're choosing not to follow OpA, fine. There's no need for me to try and play peace-maker anymore.

I've been sitting here trying to think of any ways those signs can mean anything else, but honestly, I'm at a loss. I definitely feel like there's symbolism there though.

Do you think that maybe she shared something with him and he's frustrated that she's not sharing it with the rest of us? OOOORRRR maybe he's getting angry at the fact that she obviously has some information that might be helpful... she was, afterall, a part of the community and has to know more than she's letting on. I know I'd be pretty pissed too

It would probably be easier to list the reasons why Daniel wouldn't be grumpy!
The poor boy's been locked up in a hotel room with a nubile 17 year old girl for days....he's being chased by a cult...they surely have to be starting to grow low on funds by this point...and it seems that Bree might still be keeping some secrets from him.
For a young man, it would be completely believable that he is starting to resent Bree for having dragged him into this entire mess. Especially when he has feelings for her and she seems somewhat oblivious and doesn't really seem to return the feelings that much in "that way".[/i]
