Making a Case for Glenn
Moderator: Moderators
Well, there have been several more points made since then. We don'thave the facts. The people who do aren't the ones talking. All I see is more speculation based on...not much if anything. Why is this still going on??? If the creators are going to make a statement, then wait for the statement. I don't think ALL things with their business are interactive with the fans.

Oh, I think I understand pretty well enough. As Hymew said:
This post was merely made as a chance to collect all the allegations and facts about Glenn, critically examine them, and come to conclusions based on them.
Like LL said, it's impossible to know all this things, and most of what could be "collected" would just be speculation at best.
And as the Creators have said:
We ask that you please do not discuss these issues or make claims about Glenn based on conjecture. Please respect us while we gather information and come to a decision. We will be posting a formal statement as soon as possible.
What part of that do the MODERATORS of this forum not understand?
It's blatant disrespect to the Creators and abuse of moderator powers.

No. Telling everyone how I *really* feel would be an abuse of moderator powers. However, I, unlike you, can bite my tongue and continue acting as directed by the forum rules and regulationsbethy wrote:It's blatant disrespect to the Creators and abuse of moderator powers.

Agreed. I think people forget that they have a business to run, and that the details of that business aren't part of the story. Why is this still going on??? If the creators are going to make a statement, then wait for the statement. I don't think ALL things with their business are interactive with the fans.

'mute, I love you, but that was uncalled-for and unworthy of you.wintermute wrote:No. Telling everyone how I *really* feel would be an abuse of moderator powers. However, I, unlike you, can bite my tongue and continue acting as directed by the forum rules and regulations

If you think bethy has violated the rules and regulations, please explain clearly how she has done so, so that she and the rest of us can understand what she's done wrong. That's what fundamental fairness requires.

You may not care, bethy, but I do.bethy wrote:It's okay...I already know what people think of me...and I don't give a shit.
Mods should not make comments like the one 'mute just made about you. Actually, no one should, but it's especially inappropriate on the part of a mod.
When and if it happens, I think it's important to call them on it.
The fact that they did not mention Glenn's name in the show is hardley an answer. It's actually avoiding the issue.bethy wrote: I think the issue is that some people refuse to accept the answer they've been given.
I never said that I did not want people with different views to post. I think debate is a good thing. However it seems as though some people only come in to get a rise out of people and nothing else. I was specifically talking about these people when I made that post. And to these people I will no longer give my time.colbertnationgirl wrote:I disagree. This thread was created with a clear bias towards Glenn. I think many people with different views would be hesitant to post here.

All I'm saying is that she can't seem to let go, even though her point has already been made. Even when respectfully requested to do so. So, I felt it time to bring the shock factor. And don't pretend you weren't shockedLanguorous Lass wrote:'mute, I love you, but that was uncalled-for and unworthy of you.

You're right, I was. But unfortunately, at least for me, the shock factor was not accompanied by understanding of your point.
In addition, I don't think it's fair to single bethy out, when other posters in this thread continue to belabor their points -- in some cases, beyond all reasonableness, IMHO.
I ask formally that this thread be locked. I also renew my formal request that the sticky be removed from this thread.
If nobody's willing to lock the thread, I may have to engage in extreme tactics, and bring up Adolf Hitler.

Am I the only person who heard the statement at the beginning of the Mixed Media show that very clearly said they have been advised by their attorneys not to discuss this matter?
And none of us have any facts, so really, there is nothing to discuss that hasn't already been. It's really time to let go of this, stop fanning the flames and allow the Creators and their Counselors to examine the facts and decided what to do.
If you have something to say you think might impact their decision, send it to them in a PM. Let's move on now.
